Noelle had never hated anyone this much. Looking at Mia, she declared, "We must catch her. She has to pay for what she's doing."

Noelle couldn't believe how ruthless Ivy could be. She turned to Mia and asked, "We're holding onto Eason, aren't we?"

"Yes."

"I want her to experience what it feels like to lose everything."

"What are you planning?"

"If she wants to throw us into chaos, we'll do the same to her. For example, we could pretend to have kidnapped her son and start demanding a ransom."

"Got it. I'll have Eugene arrange it. We'll make sure she pays."

Still, Noelle's heart felt heavy as she said, "If he hadn't shielded me, I'd be the one heavily injured and lying in the hospital bed right now."

"But I believe he must have done it out of instinct. He'd never want you to get hurt," Mia reassuringly said.

She finally realized how fragile life was. Losing someone might mean forever. When Emma and Anastasia arrived at the hospital to visit her, she felt terribly guilty.

Anastasia gently said, "Don't be sad. He's a man, and it's in his nature to protect the woman he loves."

Emma chimed in, "You need to stay strong. None of us blames you. I thank heaven you're alright, and that's enough."

Noelle broke down in tears upon hearing those words. Entering the room, Carl looked at the two women and announced, "Visiting hours are over."
