Noelle walked over and opened the classroom door. Outside, Samantha immediately scowled. "Why are you out?"

"Why shouldn't I?" Noelle didn't even bother with her. But Samantha blocked the doorway, refusing to let her pass.

Laura stepped out with a frown. "Samantha, move."

Samantha asked, "Laura, did you find out where Mom is?"

"This has nothing to do with Ms. Liddell." Laura was irritated. There were still many uncertainties. They couldn't afford to let Noelle grow suspicious and risk putting the Merlock family in serious trouble.

If Noelle ever found out that Cedric had ties to the car accident, then the Merlocks' careful planning from all those years ago would come under his scrutiny, too.

As much as Laura disliked Noelle, now was not the time to reveal anything.

Noelle cut in coldly. "Did you hear her? It's got nothing to do with me."

She glanced at Samantha and lightly pushed her aside. Samantha was unwilling. "But Xenia told me it had something to do with you!"

"Xenia?" Noelle smirked. "Of course, it was her. She's still bitter that I played that video at her wedding, ruining her big day. She'd love nothing more than to throw filth on my name."

Laura walked up and pulled Samantha back. "Enough. I already asked everything I needed to."

Noelle glanced at the two sisters, then turned and walked away. Samantha stomped her foot. "Laura, did you really ask her everything?"

She still had a feeling Noelle was involved. Who else would have such a deep grudge against the Merlocks if not her?

Laura thought for a moment. "Call Xenia. I want to talk to her."

She had heard Xenia was the driver's daughter and was taken in by the Liddell family years ago.
