Noelle wondered if Eugene really was that handsome. She wanted to see for herself, too.

She asked, "Where's Mia?"

Grace replied, "She went back to the dorm. The handsome bodyguard is sitting on the bench near the corridor downstairs. Everyone walking past has already seen him."

Noelle smiled as she realized just how close Eugene was clinging to Mia.

It was clear that he really cared about Mia.

Noelle could not wait for class to end to meet him herself.

After class, Noelle and Grace rushed back to the dorm immediately.

But as soon as they arrived, Noelle found Donovan downstairs with a bouquet of flowers and a circle on the ground made of flowers and candles.

Her mouth twitched when she saw the scene. "Some people are so shameless to the point they've become invincible."

Also noticing Donovan, Grace replied, "Noelle, isn't that Donovan? How does he even have the nerve to show up here?"

She had just heard from Noelle about what had happened with Mia.

It was fortunate that Noelle had been helping Mia out from the shadows. Otherwise, Mia would have been treated badly and left with nothing but a terrible fate after her money ran out.

Noelle replied, "The Liddells have always been this shameless. It's nothing surprising at this point."

Then, she subconsciously glanced at the bench nearby and saw a man dressed in a black T-shirt and military cargo pants of the same color.

The man wore a baseball cap that slightly obscured his sharp and handsome features. His tanned skin replaced his boyish charms for a more mature and manly appeal.

Noelle scanned him thoroughly for a few seconds when the man turned to meet her gaze, revealing his sharp look.

She was startled by how dangerous his eyes looked.

Eugene had worked as a mercenary abroad after all. His presence alone was nothing short of menacing.

The moment he recognized Nicole, he quickly looked away as he already knew who she was.

After listening to Donovan's speech, Mia sneaked a glance at the bodyguard clad in black.

Eugene just stood still in place without any reaction. It was impossible to read his gaze and expression.

Thinking about how she was rejected back then, Mia let out a self-mocking smile, replying, "I'm just a crippled woman. If I didn't happen to have money, would you even have bothered to look at me?"

It was harsh, but it was also the truth.

She threw the bouquet to the ground and continued, "Stop doing these things, Donovan. And don't come to my campus ever again."

Donovan did not want to give up on such a good opportunity. He reached out to grab Mia's hand and replied, "Mia, listen to me. Let's go somewhere else and talk alone."

Noelle was just about to move forward and step in when Eugene suddenly rushed over to pry away Donovan's hand in one swift, sharp movement.

She paused mid-step as she observed he was genuinely worried about Mia after all, realizing that he was a low-key charmer.

Mia was then pulled into Eugene's arms. As she was pressed against his firm, warm chest, her face grew hotter.
