Noelle clicked her tongue upon witnessing the scene. The romantic vibes were intense!

Grace had similar feelings as she turned to Noelle and said, "Why do I feel like the two of them have a different relationship from others?"

"You're right," Noelle replied. "They're friends with each other."

Grace's eyes widened immediately. "What?! Hurry up and tell me their backstory!"

"Now's not the time. I'll tell you all about it some other time."

Grace, too, knew that it was not the time to gossip, especially with the annoying Donovan still around.

After being pushed aside, Donovan grew furious when he saw Mia being held in another man's arms. He stormed over to them, demanding, "What are you doing? Let go of her, now!"

Eugene glanced at Donovan with an indifferent look. He did not even bother taking Donovan seriously.

He lowered his head to look at Mia and asked, "Are you going back to the dorm? Or are you heading somewhere else?"

His frigid tone pierced into Mia's ear, while the warmth of his body threw her mind and heart into disarray.

Even so, his indifferent tone left Mia with a sense of disappointment.

She felt that if Donovan did not make a move on her earlier, Eugene would not have come over to help her.

Eugene had explained that he was acting as her bodyguard after all, and that he only did what a reasonable bodyguard would do.

Mia replied quietly, "I'm heading back to the dorm."

She had nowhere to go after leaving the campus after all. She might as well stay inside her dorm.

Donovan still refused to give up. He stared at her, interrogating, "Who is this man? It's no wonder you won't agree to reconcile with me. So you've been messing around with someone else, huh?"

Donovan forced himself to stay calm and replied, "Mia, I know that you still have misunderstandings about me. However, I believe that you'll one day realize that I'm the right one for you."

Given Mia's disability, no other man would truly love her for who she was.

Donovan believed that he was different from other men. At the very least, he could guarantee her safety. And once he made some money, he could pay her back for everything he had spent.

Noelle could not bear to watch the scene any longer and walked up to Donovan. "Stop flattering yourself, Donovan. Do you really think no one else would want Mia?"

Mia let out a breath of relief after seeing Noelle step in to help her.

Noelle stared at Donovan and continued, "Do you seriously think that every girl would fall for your pathetic attempts at winning them over?"

"At least I've shown that I'm serious about getting back together with Mia," he replied.

"You're serious, you say? Had you really been sincere with her, you wouldn't have teamed up with Mrs. Cantrell to lock Mia up at home and force her to sign a property transfer agreement."
