After finalizing things with the lawyer, Noelle informed the Liddell family right away.

Frank called her. "Noelle, did you look into this lawyer? He used to be Mr. Roderick's protégé. He's probably not a good choice."

Noelle hummed. "I checked. He's a good fit."

Donovan's voice came through. "Noelle, you don't even realize you're being played. That guy has ties with the Greenes. Even if they've had conflicts in the past, it was all petty arguments."

Noelle's tone turned cold. "I don't need you telling me how to handle things."

Donovan argued, "Noelle, you're still inexperienced. You should listen to the family."

She sneered. "If I had listened to all of you, Xenia would still be living in luxury. And you'd never have found out who the real culprit was."

That shut Donovan up. He couldn't argue with that.

Frank cleared his throat. "Noelle, we're just concerned. All our efforts will be in vain if something goes wrong with the lawyer."

Noelle sighed. "I get it. There won't be an issue with the lawyer. Just do your part and make sure there are no problems on Xenia's side."

"Don't worry about that. We already did a paternity test. The child belongs to Wayne. So Xenia has nowhere else to go except the Liddells now."

Noelle felt a twinge of disappointment at the news. She was hoping to see how things would unfold if the child wasn't Wayne's.

But this wasn't bad either. It meant Xenia wouldn't dare cause more trouble.

Just as that thought passed through her mind, Noelle grew suspicious of Frank's words. What if the paternity test result was rigged? Or maybe it was a lie to appease Xenia.

Still, it was just a passing thought. Noelle didn't care whether the child was Wayne's.
