Noelle glared at Cedric and barked, "Get out!"

But Cedric stayed still. "We aren't at the dinner place yet."

"I'm not going anymore," she replied. She wasn't in the mood for dinner.

Just then, she received a call from Jeremy and picked up right away. "Hello, Mr. Sulton. What's up?"

"There are some things I'd like to discuss in person. Are you free for dinner?"

"Sure. Where shall we meet?" She agreed without hesitation as the lawsuit was more important right now.

After finalizing the location, she turned to Cedric and demanded, "Get out. I have things to do."

"Where are you going?"

She glared at him and snapped, "Does that have anything to do with you?"

"I'm still your boyfriend."

Her expression turned solemn as she said, "Cedric, I know you saved me back then. I'm also aware you were used by the Merlocks and didn't know the full story.

"But you've lied to me for so long that I can't trust you the way I used to. I can't be with you anymore; don't you get that?"

Silence filled the car. Still, Noelle felt some words needed to be said as she couldn't keep pretending.

Cedric's expression fell. His throat bobbed slightly as he gulped before asking, "Can't we start over?"

"No," Noelle said, looking away.

He let out a bitter laugh and asked, "So, you don't feel anything for me at all?" He'd done so much and thought she'd eventually see his sincerity.
