"Then, prove it."
Those words burned with challenge in his gaze —quiet, yet intense.

Her clothes and his towel disappeared between kisses and touches.
"If I had known just seeing me wrapped in a towel gets you like this, I would have practised wetting my robe in a hundred ways, instead of having this one chance instance."
He groaned into her mouth, his hands finding their way beneath her top, fingers dancing over her bare skin like he was mapping the curves he already knew by heart.
The way his eyes looked tired —she could already tell that he hadn’t slept the whole night.
And when Aiden finally brushed her hair back and kissed her forehead, she smiled.
The kiss was fire —molten, greedy, and breathless.
A surprised huff left his lips left his lips as he fell onto the cushions —not out of protest, but sheer surprise and anticipation.
She turned and looked into his eyes. "The next time when you think of challenging me, ... pause and think twice." freeweb\(n)ovel(.)co(m)
Even though he put it like that, she knew it was not that that kept him awake the whole night.
No words passed between them for a long while. They just stayed like that in each other’s arms —tangled, sated and impossibly close.
Her lips tugged up in a quiet smirk before she pulled up a little to bring her face close to his. "Or else, ..." she leaned forward and just when he thought she would press her lips onto his, once again ...
He laid her down, guiding her gently, worshipfully —as if she were something sacred. And then their bodies joined, it wasn’t just passion —it was something far deeper ... far intense that they both felt radiating from each other.
His hands instinctively caught her waist, but she was already straddling him, knees bracketing his hips, and her body pressed over his.
His eyes were hooded, burning. "You did." His thumb brushed her cheek, slow and reverent. "But now ..." he murmured, his voice dipping lower, "you have started something that can’t be stopped. Not now. Not when I have tasted you like this."
She pulled back slightly, chest heaving. "Wait —" she heaved, her voice steady. "Haven’t I already proven it?"
She wanted to retort, but before she could, she heard her phone ring, that was fallen on the floor, right near the couch.
She gasped softly at his touch, rocking against him, feeling the heat between them spike. Her top slid halfway off her arms, and he helped her discard it completely.
Meanwhile, at Ryan’s apartment —
Confused if she heard him right, she blinked. "Huh?"
He then paused and laughed. The deep flutter of his laugh like that made her stomach clench.
Arwen stared at him, and soon the same flame reflected in her gaze. She felt the butterflies flutter down in her stomach, but more than that, she felt an urge —and an urge to really, really take up his challenge and then prove it to him.
Then, looking at her, he said, "Yes, I needed to check through the documents, so that this doesn’t get delayed even for a day."
While his one arm remained wrapped around her waist, he raised another to brush her nose teasingly in one long, swift motion. "I said it was all worth it if I can have you like this."
Her gaze burned with equal intensity, and before she could think for even a second longer, she moved on her raw instinct.
Aura.
When Zenith stepped out of the room, she saw Ryan sitting in the living hall. She halted in her steps and looked his way.
"Sir, did you not sleep last night?" she asked, walking a step in his direction, her brows knitted in quiet concern.
And he watched her, pleasingly —as if it was a treat to his eyes, seeing her laughing so cheerfully because of him
As she tried to grab it, she saw the name flashing on the screen.
They moved together —wild, sweet and desperate. Again, and again —matching each other’s rhythm.
"Don’t be so sure," he challenged back. "We will see the next time it happens."
Whispers filled the silence —her name on his lips and his breath against her neck. Moans tangled with sighs as their desire spilled into every movement. In their every heartbeat.
She was not obsessed with winning the challenge ... but this one she wanted to win.
"Then let me prove it to you," she murmured and then she kissed him —hard, deep, claiming.
Arwen collapsed against him, her chest pressed to his, her skin warm and damp with sweat. His heart thundered beneath her ear —and hers raced to match.
"It’s all worth it," he muttered slowly, more to himself. But she heard him and paused.
Aiden arched his brow, noting the hint of mischief in her gaze. "Or else, what?"
"Sir, do you think Ms. Ember will leave the country on your orders?"
