Carter was the ultimate messenger.
No matter how harsh Miranda’s words were, he’d deliver them, word for word.
To Carter, what really mattered was what Miranda wanted. He came from a family that valued tradition, but he honestly didn’t care much about the whole “heir to the Hawke family” drama.
Sure, if Miranda went back and crushed all those cousins to take the top spot, Carter would think she was a total badass. He’d probably even get a little reflected glory himself, and he couldn't deny he’d love to see that level of drama up close.
But after spending these past few weeks with Miranda in Virell, he could tell she was doing just fine without any of that mess. She had money, she had status, and she had drive. Honestly, she didn’t even seem to care about the Hawke Group.
Even though the Hawke Group was up there on the Fortune 100 and their family’s name was all over the world’s billionaire lists, Miranda just wasn’t impressed.
She’d barely made it upstairs when her phone buzzed with a text from Crystal.
“Handling something. I’ll be home late.”
Miranda replied, “Alright. Be safe.”
She didn’t ask what was up. Even though they lived together, Miranda almost never poked her nose into Crystal’s business. If Crystal had something to deal with, she just left and came back when it was handled.
As she closed Crystal’s chat window, she noticed a bunch of unread messages on WhatsApp. Facebook was blowing up too—99+ notifications.
She remembered Elian had borrowed her phone for a bit in the car, and she hadn’t checked it since.
GODMOM: “Sweetheart, is it really happening this time?!”
“Are you and Luke REALLY together?”
“Is this the official announcement?!”
“Oh my god, answer me! I’m dying over here! Give your poor mom the tea first, pleeease!!”
Lavinia Lancaster, a.k.a. Godmom, knew Miranda was usually busy, so if it wasn’t an emergency, she’d just leave messages instead of calling. But this time—judging by the flood of texts in the past ten minutes—she was desperate for the scoop.
And it wasn’t just her. Hannah Lancaster, Caius Lancaster, and Miranda’s whole crew of old-money friends from Boston were spamming every group chat.
HANNAH: “Sis! Seriously, which rumor is true?!”

The readers' comments on the novel: Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back
In what world was it ever okay for people to like people who hit and punch them? Miranda deserves someone who doesn't hit people, she needs someone who commands respect through kindness, who could show her a world where people respond more to kindness. All this shows is that it's all about money. There was no character development for Elian. He is the typical boring man, tough but soft for the heroine. Seb is the typical mysterious, quiet and strong. Can you introduce another character who would really pique Miranda's interest from the start please. All the stories I've ever read are about strong people getting together, kings, alphas, queens, powered individuals. What about someone ordinary but not too ordinary, someone middle class but hard-working, someone relatable? Okay ,rant over, bye...
I liked it before but her choosi g Elian made it boring pretty fast. He is too childish in front of her. It's your story though. I was hoping she'd neither choose Elian nor Sebastian but someone else. They are now too overpowered, it was getting redundant to read that they're the best at everything. Too much of a power couple is too much. Bye!...
Will there be an update soon please...
