Chapter 423 – Highlight Chapter from Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back
Chapter 423 is a standout chapter in Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back by Elma Evert, where the pace intensifies and character dynamics evolve. Rich in drama and tension, this part of the story grips readers and pushes the Romance narrative into new territory.
Mr. Ashcroft nodded. “That’s exactly right. The Everhart family has been close to the Governor’s Office for generations. It’s not exactly a secret—everyone in the upper circles knows it. That’s why the Everharts have such status and power, whether they’re in Virell or Ardenza. No one dares mess with them. Honestly, anyone who grew up in that neighborhood with you? Definitely not someone ordinary.”
Elian raised an eyebrow. “If I remember correctly, Sebastian is the current heir of the Everhart family, right? As the heir, did he just inherit the family business?”
Mr. Ashcroft frowned, eyeing Elian. “What are you getting at?”
He couldn’t shake the feeling Elian was hinting at something more.
Elian just smiled. “Nothing much. It’s just, a few years ago while I was on assignment, I stumbled across this really secretive group. They call themselves the Underground Sweepers. Their whole thing is cleaning up criminal trash. Ever heard of them, Grandpa?”
Mr. Ashcroft thought for a moment. “Can’t say I have. But sometimes, the criminal underworld overseas is complicated—could be tied up with all sorts of national interests and power plays. Things are never as simple as they look.”
Suddenly, he looked at Elian sharply. “You think the Everharts might be mixed up with some foreign mobsters?”
Elian didn’t answer right away. His gaze grew distant for a moment.
After a while, he finally spoke. “I’ll be leaving the country for a bit. While I’m gone, Grandpa, I hope you’ll keep an eye on your future granddaughter-in-law for me. She’s new to Virell, doesn’t really know anyone—easy target for bullies.”
Mr. Ashcroft nearly snorted at that.
Bullied? Yeah, right.
Everyone in their circle knew Miranda had taken down four or five guys at least six feet tall—all of them with professional training.
And she’d tamed those troublemakers so well, they practically said “please” and “thank you” now.
Bully her? You’d have to have a death wish.
All the old men in their circle had already warned their grandkids not to mess with Miranda.
Now they’d changed their tune.
Now they told them not to go looking for a fight.
If someone else hit you, your family might step in. But if Miranda beat you up? You’d better just take it.
And honestly, at this point, Miranda’s legend was everywhere in the city’s elite circles.
If anyone said a word against her, Hugo and his crew would be the first to throw down.

The readers' comments on the novel: Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back
In what world was it ever okay for people to like people who hit and punch them? Miranda deserves someone who doesn't hit people, she needs someone who commands respect through kindness, who could show her a world where people respond more to kindness. All this shows is that it's all about money. There was no character development for Elian. He is the typical boring man, tough but soft for the heroine. Seb is the typical mysterious, quiet and strong. Can you introduce another character who would really pique Miranda's interest from the start please. All the stories I've ever read are about strong people getting together, kings, alphas, queens, powered individuals. What about someone ordinary but not too ordinary, someone middle class but hard-working, someone relatable? Okay ,rant over, bye...
I liked it before but her choosi g Elian made it boring pretty fast. He is too childish in front of her. It's your story though. I was hoping she'd neither choose Elian nor Sebastian but someone else. They are now too overpowered, it was getting redundant to read that they're the best at everything. Too much of a power couple is too much. Bye!...
Will there be an update soon please...
