Sarah's expression softened as she looked at James seriously. "Although I did collect evidence of her crimes, she was arrested before I could take it to the police."

In other words, Charlotte's arrest had nothing to do with her.

James's eyes widened in disbelief.

He couldn't believe Sarah wasn't behind the arrest. Then who could it be?

"But besides you, who else would have reason to report her? Others wouldn't get involved," James said, frowning.

Sarah gave a bitter laugh. "James, don't forget Charlotte has other enemies. Like Vivian, who wants to make her a scapegoat."

James finally understood. Of course - Vivian! He remembered what Charlotte had said. Vivian was afraid Sarah would eventually discover her crimes, so she planned to make Charlotte take the blame.

James sighed, speaking apologetically to Sarah. "Sarah, what Charlotte did was wrong, and Lucy wronged you too. Now Lucy's in a psychiatric hospital and Charlotte's in jail. For the sake of Charlotte's baby, could you write a letter of forgiveness?"

With Sarah's letter of forgiveness, Charlotte might receive a lighter sentence.

Sarah flatly refused. "I won't write any letter of forgiveness for her."

"Sarah, I..." James tried to plead further.

"James, after a divorce, shouldn't people just disappear from each other's lives? Why do you keep haunting me? I'm sick of it," she said, frowning.

She was tired of Lucy and Charlotte constantly interfering and trying to trap her.

And she was even more disgusted by James pretending to care deeply after choosing divorce.

Sarah walked to the door and opened it. "Mr. Chancer, you've asked your questions. You can leave now."

Despite her cold dismissal, James could only accept it helplessly.

Without him saying anything, Sarah knew he was here for treatment.

"Is today's treatment hypnosis again?" Zachary asked nervously.

The memory of last time was still fresh - he had almost revealed his secret.

Sarah understood his concern, but she wasn't going to let him off easy. "First, complete this assessment."

She handed Zachary a three-page questionnaire, requiring at least fifty percent completion.

Zachary worked on it calmly, unhurried and serene, seemingly unbothered by the questions.

He handed the completed assessment to Sarah after just fifteen minutes.
