From the back seat, Harrison followed Logan’s gaze. Immediately, he spotted a girl—someone he recognized all too well.

Harrison’s obsidian eyes narrowed dangerously. He mentally reviewed Anastasia’s class schedule. At this time of day, she was supposed to be in class.

Logan shot a worried look toward the campus, silently hoping Anastasia wouldn’t get into trouble.

Anastasia strolled around a bit longer, then, as the time drew near, she said goodbye to her cousin and made her way home.

The moment she stepped through the door and saw Harrison, her eyes lit up. She ran straight to him, beaming. “Honey, I’m home from class!”

Harrison’s face was calm as ever. “What did you study today?”

Anastasia thought for a moment. “World Art History.”

“Was it interesting?”

She made a face. “A little boring, actually.”

Harrison’s large hand gently ruffled her hair. His gaze was dark and deep. “If it’s boring, there’s no need to waste your time.”

She protested immediately, “No way! I signed up for the class, didn’t I? Skipping would be disrespectful to the professor.”
