Logan finally let out a breath he’d been holding.

“Yes, sir!”

He turned on his heel and hurried out.

But Harrison’s eyes remained dark and unreadable, his mind replaying flashes of her laughter, the way she’d playfully called him “Hubby,” her delicate smile, the way his heart had thudded in his chest when she’d run into his arms—feelings he’d never known before.

Ana, you’d better not disappoint me.

But suddenly—

“Mr. Lancaster!”

Logan, who’d just left to carry out his orders, rushed back unexpectedly.

His face looked stiff as he handed over his phone.

“Sir, I just received something… about Mrs. Lancaster.”

At the hotel, Anastasia was in the kitchen, learning a new recipe from the head chef.

During a break, she noticed the hotel was especially lively today, the decorations different from usual. Curiosity got the better of her and she asked about it.

“Today? Oh, it’s our hotel’s Couples’ Night! The decorations are all for the lovebirds staying with us,” the chef explained with a grin.

Couples’ Night?

Anastasia barely gave it a second thought. She wasn’t interested—after all, knowing Harrison, he’d never agree to something so sentimental.

She decided to step out for some fresh air. But just as she turned to leave the kitchen, a young apprentice, distracted and in a hurry, bumped into her. She was holding her phone, and before she could react, it slipped from her hand and dropped straight into a bucket of water.

“Oh! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to!” The apprentice looked mortified, apologizing repeatedly.

Anastasia quickly fished the phone out, only to find it wouldn’t turn on—the water had done its worst.

Seeing the look on her face, the apprentice stammered another apology. “I really didn’t mean to—”

“It’s all right, I’ll see if I can get it fixed,” Anastasia said, arching a brow but not making a fuss.
