The anniversary celebration at Kingsbridge University was the grandest event the school had ever held.

They’d opened up the largest stadium on campus, and every single student was required to attend.

“I heard there’s a mysterious VIP coming today—he’s supposedly dating a freshman here. Is that for real?”

“It’s true! My sister is in the same class as her. Apparently, this guy originally refused all the invitations, no matter how many times the dean asked him. But the moment he found out his girlfriend studies at Kingsbridge, he finally agreed to show up!”

“Oh my god, this sounds like something straight out of a TV drama! Who’s the girl?”

“It’s Alice, from the Faculty of Arts. But hey, do you know Anastasia from sophomore year? Ugh, she’s so shameless. She actually tried to get between them…”

“She’s even on the welcoming committee with Alice today. Just watch, she’s bound to embarrass herself in front of everyone!”

The students had barely settled into the bleachers before conversations erupted all around. No one paid the slightest attention to the emcee’s opening remarks.

It wasn’t until the host announced, “Let’s welcome our special guests,” that everyone snapped back to attention, craning their necks in anticipation, eyes glued to the entrance.

On stage, a line of guests began to enter, each escorted by the school’s top administrators.

“Which one? Which one is the mysterious VIP?”

“They all look so old! Which one is Alice’s boyfriend?”

After scanning the line-up, nobody seemed to fit the part—until someone noticed that, out of ten distinguished guests, only nine had arrived.

And right in the center of the VIP seating area, the most prominent seat remained empty.

“That last one has to be Alice’s mysterious boyfriend!”

Only a legend could warrant such a special spot.

While everyone speculated, the president of the university, Dr. Lionel, suddenly took a call, shot to his feet, and hurried out of the stadium with a handful of faculty members in tow.
