“Alicia, it’s just a medical exam. There’s no need to be so resistant—Maddox is only thinking of the Lynch family and Tyrone,” Vincent said, his voice steady but firm.

He didn’t want to make things hard for Alicia, but he hoped she’d take the hint and leave Tyrone of her own accord.

Since Alicia refused to listen, he had no choice but to give her a little nudge in the right direction.

“She’s just scared because she’s not pregnant. Guilty conscience, clearly,” Nicole sneered.

Drawing in a deep breath, Alicia met Maddox’s eyes. “Fine. I’ll go to the hospital for the test.”

Whatever the result, it was still up to Tyrone to agree to a divorce.

If Tyrone said yes, she’d leave.

Nicole, looking thoroughly pleased with herself, shot Alicia a triumphant smirk before hurrying out. She quickly texted Jade: Taking Alicia for a blood test. No way she’s pregnant—she’s finished.

“Alicia, maybe you should just go apologize to Maddox. If you want, I can speak to him for you,” Albertine offered, trying to stand.

Alicia stopped her with a gentle shake of her head.

“You know, you’re not the first woman who tried to marry Tyrone by pretending to be pregnant,” Nicole continued, her voice icy. “The last one convinced the old man she was carrying Tyrone’s child. And you know what happened to her? She vanished completely. No one knows where she ended up, but you can bet it wasn’t good.”
