“Hurry up and get to Harboridge City. Easton’s not leaving the country for a while yet. I don’t care how you do it—you must finish the job before he leaves.” Natalia’s voice on the phone was laced with thinly-veiled threat.

Lena’s hands trembled slightly as she looked nervously at Ablett and spoke in a low voice. “I understand. I’ll get it done.”

As soon as she finished, Natalia hung up without another word.

Natalia had always been a little too sure of herself. Maybe it was because, ever since she was young, she’d found it all too easy to manipulate people, using their fears to keep them obedient and loyal. She believed she could control anyone with just a little intimidation.

But the truth was, threats might force compliance, but they could never win hearts.

Seeing that Lena was at least cooperating, Ablett untied her completely and gestured that she was free to go.

Lena hesitated, glancing at Ablett. “Is there something I need to do?”

“Nothing for now,” Ablett replied, not bothering to look up as he stirred a cup of instant noodles. “When I need you, just be ready to play along.”

Lena nodded silently and hurried out.

Once she was gone, Ablett sent the surveillance footage straight to Easton.

Easton lay stretched out on his bed, scrolling through Ablett’s messages.

Lena was under control. As long as Natalia and the butler lowered their guard, Easton could use the connections and influence at his disposal to seize control of the Lynch Corporation. Then he’d be ready to start a sweeping purge.

It was time for new blood at Lynch Corp.

Everyone loyal to Tyrone would be replaced. Every last one.

A sharp knock at the door interrupted his thoughts. “Easton, it’s time to go,” Natalia called from the hallway.

He got up and headed out.

“Good,” the group nodded approvingly. “If we can control him, let’s get him to the top as quickly as possible and use him to get rid of all Tyrone’s people. Charlie and his crew are nothing but trouble.”

Tyrone had loyalists in every key post at the company. For now, Lynch Corp was sharply divided—Tyrone’s faction on one side, Natalia and Shaw’s on the other. Both sides still held real power, and neither could completely oust the other.

But if Easton could be used as their pawn, once he was in charge, they could finally overhaul the company from the inside out.

“Don’t worry,” Natalia said, her eyes already glinting with visions of the future.
