She thought this would be enough to make Tyrone despise Alicia.

After all, these spoiled rich kids spent their days threatening Alicia with videos and photos like it was a game.

Alicia was so furious her eyes brimmed with tears. She lowered her head and said nothing.

Tyrone didn't say a word either, and without his backing, Lily didn't dare to push her luck.

"An executive at Oceancrest Holdings? Last name Lee?" Tyrone asked, his tone flat.

Lily Lee jutted her chin proudly. "That's right. My dad is—"

"With a daughter as clueless as you, I doubt your dad's much better. Maybe he should start looking for a new job." Tyrone cut her off coolly, then pulled out his phone and called his assistant. "Bring the lawyer here. And call the police while you're at it."

Lily froze, completely thrown off by Tyrone's reaction.

"Takes a special kind of stupid to do what you just did." Tyrone gave his phone a lazy shake. "Thanks for preserving the evidence of your crime from four years ago so neatly."

He'd had Felix investigating Alicia's old case of school bullying for months, gathering proof on his phone. He never imagined today someone would just waltz in and hand it to him on a silver platter.

Alicia stared at Tyrone, stunned, her mind struggling to catch up.

"What… what do you mean?" Lily stammered, panic rising. She took a step back, trying to leave, but Tyrone's driver blocked her path.

The driver was a mountain of a man—Tyrone's personal chauffeur and bodyguard rolled into one. He looked like he could take on ten people without breaking a sweat.

"Alicia! Are you insane? You know exactly what'll happen if you cross me!" Lily turned, her voice shrill with desperation as she lashed out at Alicia. "You'd better make him back off now."

Alicia said nothing, just looked quietly at Tyrone.

"You don't need to worry about this. I'll handle it." Tyrone gestured for Alicia to sit down. "Eat up before your food goes cold. These burgers are too good to waste."

Alicia ducked her head, taking small bites. Maybe it was the warmth of the food, or maybe it was something else, but her eyes grew redder.

A lump formed in her throat; she wanted to cry, but was terrified Tyrone would laugh at her.

Tyrone looked her over, then, after a thoughtful pause, spoke up. "It's better if they all come here. Saves me the trouble of hunting them down one by one."

"Tyrone, why are you helping me?" Alicia asked softly.

He had no reason to get involved—at least, not on paper.

"Did you think our marriage certificate just fell out of the sky?" Tyrone shot back, giving her a look that said she was being ridiculous.

She was his wife, after all. Wasn't it obvious he'd take her side?

Alicia sat quietly, her head bowed, eyes shining with tears. "Thank you," she whispered.

She was so moved—Tyrone really was a good boss.

He must treat everyone at Lynch Corporation just as well.
