Steven nodded. “Understood, Mr. Thomson.”

The two diamonds had originally been meant as a surprise gift for Mrs. Thomson. Now that they were lost, there was no point in worrying her about it. George decided to keep quiet for now and try to track them down once they were home.

The group was about to board the helicopter when Noah suddenly remembered something and turned to the bodyguards. “Wait—have any of you seen Crystal Thomson?”

The bodyguard shook his head. “No, sir.”

Samuel hurried over. “What’s wrong? Is Crystal here too?”

Noah nodded. “She’s the reason the kidnappers took us in the first place.”

A flash of shock crossed Samuel’s face; he hadn’t imagined Crystal could be involved in any of this.

At that, Aiden chimed in, “The bad aunt owed the kidnappers money, so she told them to take us. She wanted ransom money to pay off her debts!”

Evan’s little face darkened with anger. “That’s right! She’s terrible!”

Everyone stared at the children in stunned silence.

None of them could believe Crystal would go so far—selling out four little kids to criminals was beyond comprehension.

Mrs. Thomson’s face was pale with disbelief. “What? Crystal actually handed you over to kidnappers?”

Samuel clenched his fists in fury and barked an order to his men. “Find her! Bring Crystal here—now!”

“Yes, sir!” The team immediately fanned out, searching the factory from top to bottom, refusing to leave any corner unchecked.

After a while, they found Crystal tied up in the tall grass behind the building.
