Tara's heart trembled with fear at Soren's words. An air of danger enveloped her when she met his eyes as he smiled.

"I… " Tara couldn't even form a sentence at this point. In the next instant, the gloom around Soren vanished without a trace, and he beamed at her.

"Come with me," he said, picking up a warm towel from the table to wipe his hands. He got up and reached for Tara's hand, surprising her and causing her to take a few steps backward.

She mustn't take his hand! What if someone saw them? However, Soren wasn't going to give in. He reached for her hand again, and she said, "No, we can't hold hands."

Of course, Soren knew exactly what she was afraid of. He cluck his tongue in annoyance. Some of the artists out there didn't want to make their relationships public, whereas the woman he liked avoided him like the plague.

"Okay. Come with me then," Soren said, shoving his hands into his pockets.

Later, he made his way to the underground parking lot, with her trailing him by a deliberate three-foot distance.

He was quite displeased about that, but she didn't give in. It wasn't like they were in the vacation villa overseas—there were way too many housekeepers here. Others could easily spot them.

Soren took her to a corner of the parking lot. Knowing she was worried about others seeing them both in close proximity, he purposely brought her to this secluded spot.

Any sound made in the parking lot would be echoed, so Tara could hear their footsteps as they walked. Before long, she saw a car parked in an inconspicuous corner of the parking lot. She also noticed that its entire body was covered with a piece of fabric.

An ominous feeling rose in her gut. Before she knew it, Soren had reached the car and yanked the fabric off it, and a pink limited-edition sports car entered her vision.

Soren watched her as her jaw dropped. He couldn't be prouder of himself. He chirped, "It's a limited edition sports car. Only three exist in the world. What do you think? Is it fancy enough?"

Tara was in such a daze that she could only nod at those questions. The car wasn't just fancy; it was so extravagant that she'd almost turned blind.

Soren took out the car key and handed it to her. "It's for yo—"

His eyes widened in surprise as a pair of hands clamped themselves over his mouth, sealing it from uttering another word. Tara simply wouldn't let him complete the sentence.
