Trevor wasn't answering my calls.
The next morning when I awoke, I started panicking.
Of course, I wanted to give it back...
I probably had over a million dollars in my apartment, and it's not like I can put it all in the bank, they'd probably think I was a drug lord!
While in shock last night, I hid them all in the other room and locked the door.
It was a little after 8, so I gave up on calling him, hoping that perhaps he'd call back a little later so I could tell him where to shove all of his money.
I didn't want to seem ungrateful, but this was pureblood money.
I took a shower and got dressed in some simple mom Jean's, and a plain white T-shirt. I set a reminder on my calendar, to start job searching.
I left my hair in some two-strand twists and waited for the driver to get here. When he did, he was dressed in a black and white suit, smiling at me and I blinked nervously at him.
He opened the door for me and I got in.
"Good morning Miss, I am Rex, your driver for the day."
"I'm Ocean."
"Yes I know, Mr. Vatore has told me all about you."
"Oh."
"Choose a letter and we'll go to the place first."
"Oh okay, um, how about H."
"I thought you'd say that," he nods. "Would you like to grab something to eat first?"
"Uh, maybe after."
"Can you tell me where we're going? Or at least what it is I-"
"Mr. Vatore gave clear instructions that I should not tell you anything. I apologize."
"It's alright."
He nods at me throw the rearview mirror, and I lean against the door, staring outside the window.
We entered a gated community, and I couldn't help but grow excited.
"Rex?"
"Yes, Ms. Devila."
"Don't tell me..."
"I won't, but I'll show you." Soon enough we came to stop outside of one of the gates. He pressed the button.
"Ms. Devila's residence," came a calm but obviously elderly male voice, and my heartbeat quicken.
"She's here." Rex states and the gate opens...
"Welcome to your new home, Ms. Devila, I am Ross Jones, your gatekeeper."
"H-Hi." I squeak. He chuckles slightly over the intercom, and I gape as we enter the- my yard.
It was everything that I would've never been able to afford.
There was a huge fountain in the middle of the driveway, splitting the road into two parts. But what really got me, was the house.
Thank the heavens that it wasn't a mansion with 50 rooms, but perhaps it had 20.
It was at least 3 stories tall, with a pretty floral design as the exterior. It wasn't a boring modern White House, with white pillars and glass windows.
It was huge and light blue, red Rose's pointed on each side, and my name written in cursive on top with waves running through it.
I was so shaken up by the sight before me, I barely hear as Rex asks me to get out.
With the car door open, I hug my bag to my chest as I stare up at my building.
Is Trevor serious?
"Come. We'll give you a tour."
I gulp.
"We'll?"
I step inside and find all sorts of people running amount.
Chefs in the kitchen, maids on the floor, security near the door.
"All of this really isn't necessary."
"Mr. Vatore said that it was. Come on."
The floors were marble, the stairway long and elegant.
Was all of this really mine?
I slowly climbed up the stairs behind Rex, and he leads me to the first room on the floor.
"This your bedroom." Rex stands near the door as I step inside cautiously.
It was hu-
Huge would be an understatement.
