Natalia had killed Shaw's illegitimate son and was secretly fighting him for control of Lynch Corporation. Shaw had grown wary of his daughter. He hadn't yet decided to kill her, but she had already decided to kill him.

"Natalia, you're a grown woman now. There are many things I can no longer control, but family is the line you don't cross." Shaw sat on the sofa in his home, watching Natalia walk in through the door.

This weakness was one of the reasons she was destined for a dead end.

"Hah... Dad, you've been keeping a mistress and an illegitimate son on the side. You've wanted to get rid of your 'not smart enough' daughter for a long time, haven't you?" Natalia ground her teeth, staring at Shaw. "You almost succeeded. If Easton hadn't saved me today, I'd probably be dead at the intersection on Evergreen Road."

Shaw was silent for a long moment, his brow furrowed. He didn't look well. "I didn't order the car crash. Don't let yourself be used."

Shaw urged her to be rational.

"It's too late for that, Dad." Natalia laughed, a manic edge to her voice.

Shaw coughed violently, retching up dark, thick blood.

It was obvious. Natalia had someone poison him.

He pointed a trembling, furious finger at her, trying to lurch to his feet, but collapsed to the floor.
