"Since I did you a favor, is it fair for me to ask for one in return?" Alicia smiled at him.

As long as it didn't involve betraying the Gentleman's secrets, he was willing to help her however he could.

"Jared is Brandon's good friend. He's also an illegitimate son with a strange temper but incredible capability. The reason he gets along so well with Brandon—and me—is because he was once discarded by the Vance family. He suffered immense discrimination for being illegitimate. So, after seizing control of the Vance family, he developed a strong affinity for Brandon, who shares the same background," Micah explained frankly.

Alicia's plan to use Micah as a bridge to break the deep-rooted alliance between Brandon and Jared was going to be an uphill battle.
