After seeing everyone off, Alicia checked the time. Micah had asked her out for a walk by the waterfront tonight. She had no idea what kind of stroll required meeting up this late.

She had wanted to decline, but the leftover threats Brandon had planted within White Corporation had been acting up recently.

And just her luck, Jared Vance—the man Mr. Brown had warned her about—was close friends with Micah.

She had no choice but to agree for now.

"Director White, Jade has been abandoned by Brandon. Word is, he's planning to sell her off as a favor... Right now, she's holed up at Clayton's place," Felix approached, lowering his voice near Alicia's ear.

Alicia raised an eyebrow. She had used the design competition to turn Jade's own schemes against her, rendering Jade completely useless. She knew someone like Brandon would sever his own limb to save himself.

They were definitely going to discard Jade.

And since Jade knew too many of their secrets, the only logical conclusion for her—after being milked for her last drop of value—was death. Dead men tell no tales.

Sighing, Alicia replied helplessly, "Jade is extremely calculating, but she doesn't deserve to die. It's a shame."

Alicia wasn't a saint. She wouldn't help Jade unless Jade proved to be valuable to her.

"Jade paved her own road to ruin. Whatever happens next is her own karma," Felix agreed, finding the situation regrettable as well.

"Have Brandon's people made any other moves?" Alicia walked out with Felix. She knew Tyrone was upstairs watching over her. She desperately wanted to go up and see him, but it wasn't the right time.

"Brandon is doing everything in his power to stop you from fully taking over White Corporation. Clayton's current neutral stance is giving Brandon's faction false hope. Jared Vance is the wildcard here. Even though your takeover has been relatively smooth and partners are starting to lean your way, Jared remains Brandon's trump card. If he refuses to cooperate, the executives who have financial ties to him will use it as proof of your incompetence and start pulling dirty tricks behind your back."

After all, in business and everywhere else, profit was the only true loyalty.

"I'll find a way to deal with Jared. We absolutely cannot leave Brandon any room to breathe inside White Corp," Alicia stated firmly as she walked out.

She had Tyrone backing her. No matter what happened, she trusted him to catch her if she fell. "Put someone on Jared. I want to know everything, from his personal life to his business dealings. I refuse to believe this man has no weaknesses."
