I tell you, being on Mr. Blue's good side is the best place anyone wants to be, I was enjoying favors that were unusual. I could happily arrive late at work without being yelled out; for the first time, my job was not on the line, it was good to know; and you know me, late coming is my second name.

I arrived late at work, again, strolling in like I owned the place.

"Hey uhm, you have a visitor" Melissa told me when I got to the floor my office was on.

"Who is it?" I asked her; from her smile, I could already tell who it was. Fucking Antonio. I let out a sigh and braces myself for whatever he had to say to me. Why did he think coming to see me in the morning was a good choice? I wasn't a morning person, and we weren't particularly on good terms, so what did he want?

I pushed my office door open, as was met face to face with the man that I have mixed feelings for.

"You come to work this late?" Antonio asked, checking his wrist watch.

"I'm good, thanks for asking" I rolled my eyes at him and took my seat.

"Can I help you?" I asked him and he laughed. What was the joke? Why was he laughing?

"Look, last night was not supposed to end like that. Let's move past it, si?" He asked and I smirked.

It was the way he escaped saying he was sorry.

I let my eyes roam around his body, he was in a jet black suit, his hair pulled in a sleek bun with a few strands flying about. The man always looked good.

"Si" I nodded and he smiled.

"Sewa" Melissa's head popped into my office. She had a worried look on her face, like something wrong was about to happen.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"Uhm-" before she could complete her sentence, my door was pushed open and Mr. Blue appeared.

I gave him a tight smile.

"Good morning sir" I greeted him, it was the first time I was seeing him since he asked me out. Mr. Blue's eyes went to Antonio immediately, like he came for Antonio.

He looked at me and his demeanor changed.

"Morning" he replied but he was not happy about something.

"Is there something you need?" I asked him when he kept looking from me to Antonio without saying anything. Antonio wasn't bothered about the older man, but when the stare became awkward, Antonio turned to him and then to me.

"You have a lot of work to do, and yet you're here entertaining visitors" he scolded. I was taken back, what the hell was he talking about by "a lot of work to do"? Uhm no sir, I don't.

"I don't have much work left" I told him and he scoffed.

"Yeah, so never come back here, no matter what!" I told him and he stood up to go. He banged my poor door as he left. What did my door do to those men? Door lives matter! What the fuck?

Melissa came back with a bunch of work that had nothing to do with me. I walked back to Mr. Blue's office with the documents.

"With due respect sir, I can't do this word because it's for the interns not me. If you're going to fire me, do it right now so I can take my leave" I told him. I think he sensed my anger, because he looked scared and shocked.

"Give it to them. Keep your job" he said and I left the office. I went back to mine and did the work I was supposed to do, I didn't bother to call Noah, because I wasn't ready to face him, and I didn't feel like having lunch. I got a call from Aliyah by 4:34pm.

I felt like a bad friend, I hadn't even bothered to call Aliyah in a long time. I just hoped she understood that I was just as busy as she was.

"Hey friend" her accented voice said. She sounded happy.

"I'm at your workplace, you're stuck with me for the rest of the day" she said and I laughed.

"Okay ma'am, I'll be waiting" I told her and she hung up. A few minutes later, Aliyah came into my office, and since I was done with work, I grabbed my stuff and we went back to her house together.

"Just so you know, you're sleeping over! We have a lot to talk about! I've missed you girl" Aliyah said and I smiled.

"You don't even have to tell me" I told her and she laughed. I had really missed her and spending time with her took my mind off a certain someone.
