It turned out that Aliyah travelled and she only just got back, I felt really bad for not having a close relationship with Aliyah as much as I'd like. She is the coolest person I know. She honestly had a good heart, the best heart. We promised we'd keep in touch more, and I was more than ready to keep the promise. I didn't have female friends while growing up, because I intimidated everyone; I'm not even trying to be cocky, that was what I heard a few girls in my class say when I was in high school. It felt nice to finally have one, and a beautiful one at that. We slept really late, because we had a lot of things to talk about. I told her everything that happened with Noah, Antonio and even Mr. Blue.
"I don't know why Antonio did that. You know I honestly thought he told you about the company. Y'all seemed close" Aliyah said and I laughed. Close? With who? Very funny.
"We aren't close, and he probably thought I'd run after his money because he thinks I'm a cheap hoe" I gave a sad smile.
"No, I'm sure he doesn't think that. Fuck... I can't even find the words to defend him even if I wanted to. What he did was really shitty" she said and I smiled.
"Yeah I know. He's shitty and it didn't start today" I said and we laughed.
The whole night was filled with laughter, and when we finally got to sleep, it was almost dawn.
The brightness I felt on my face was the only indication I had that the sun was out, which meant it was morning and I was till in bed, when I had work to do. After yesterday, I couldn't tell where I stood with Mr. Blue, I didn't know if I had somehow found my way back to his black book or I was still the apple of his eyes, and because of my uncertainty, I didn't want to go to work late and then get fired on the spot. I'll become a laughing stock without a way to defend myself. I pushed my lazy body out of bed and hurried to the restroom to clean myself up.
When I came out, I wore the skirt I had one when I came, and took one of Aliyah's shirts. Taking peoples clothes was becoming a thing for me, but it wasn't my fault and I couldn't help it; and who knows, it might be Noah's shirt next.
After I successfully got dressed, I grabbed my purse and went out of Aliyah's room.
"I don't even understand what that means" I heard Aliyah say. At first, I thought she was on a call until I heard a voice answer her, a very familiar voice. Why was Antonio everywhere I was? It was sickening. It was bad enough that I had to force myself to have self control whenever I was around him, because if I got comfortable, I'll be hard to leave.
"Okay fine, I'll explain" he answered her.
Lord knows I wanted to know what they were on about, but it wasn't my business and I was running late, so I walked to the living room, shutting them up and putting all their attention on me.
"Oh good morning human" Aliyah said and I laughed, she was a very awkward person.
"Good morning" I smiled at her. I didn't bother looking Antonio's way because he annoyed me and didn't apologize, but then again, Antonio never apologized for shit, he always thought he was right and couldn't apologize, and even if he did, it was going to be a backhanded apology, and I didn't need that at the moment so ignoring him was the best option. Aliyah gave me an amused look and turned to Antonio.
"I've told you countless times, stop raising your voice at me, I'm not your daughter, so don't do it" I told him. He ran his fingers through his hair like he usually does when he was getting frustrated.
"What is wrong with you?" He's accented voice asked.
"I don't know, but I don't think I have you the right to call me names and do whatever you want to with me. I'm not a toy, Antonio. You can't say hurtful things to me and think we're all good to fuck the next day" I told him.
"Well, have a nice day" I said again and made my way to the door.
"I told you she drives me crazy" I heard Antonio complain, and it put a smile on my face. I'll drive him to his grave soon if he doesn't adjust.
He knew what he did was wrong, but apologizing was hard for him. If he knew he could apologize, it would do him a lot of good if he didn't annoy anyone. I hated it.
