ANTONIO's POV
I couldn't sleep, not because I didn't want to but because I just couldn't sleep, and it had everything to do with the argument I had with Sewa.
I acted like a complete prick and she didn't want to talk to me. I only acted the way I did because I was scared; I was scared that she was actually going to end our contract and find someone she'd want to spend the rest of her life with.
I was scared because the jealousy I felt when I saw her with Noah surprised me, I was scared because I was beginning to feel deep things for her and I didn't know how to act; I definitely shouldn't have yelled at her; but fuck! Did last night not mean anything to her? I mean I know it looked like were just having normal sex, but it was way more than that for me, and I didn't know what to do. The feelings were foreign and I wasn't sure I was ready to act on it.
It reminded me of the first time Aliyah brought her here, she looked too good, very beautiful and different from all the other women I've had. Her confidence, beauty and everything about her, made me want her even more; and now, I wanted her way more than I've ever wanted anything in my entire life.
I got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to get a drink. I regret drinking earlier, if I was at least sober, I wouldn't have said the things I said, or acted the way I did, it was too much and uncalled for.
I poured myself a glass of scotch, but I could bring myself to drink it, all I could think about was Sewa's face; the hurt on her face haunted me and told me how stupid I was. I banged my fist on the table, trying to let out the frustration and anger I was feeling. Stupid fucking Noah, he couldn't just keep his hands to himself, acting like a complete gentleman when he just wants to get back at me. The man was very disrespectful, especially when he started hanging around Sewa. Noah was trying to prove to me that he could take Sewa from me, and I wasn't about to let that happen.
When I checked the time, it was 7:03am, I had to go get ready for work. I dragged my lazy body to my room to get ready. When I came out of my room fully dressed, I saw an equally fully dressed Sewa in the dining table, she was having breakfast. She was dressed in a tight back skirt, and a burgundy silky button down shirt; she had her back to me so I couldn't see her face, but I knew she looked beautiful as always.
I could swear she heard me coming, but she acted like I wasn't there.
"Hey" I said, but there was no response.
"I'm sorry for yesterday. I was drunk and stupid, I didn't mean the things I said" I apologized, she turned to me and then faced her breakfast.
"Drunk you should know how to shut up" she said. She was annoyed, she sounded like she had a hard time sleeping too.
She took her used plates to the kitchen and came back out; she grabbed her black coat from the seat beside the one she sat on and put it on.
"I'm off to work" she said, but I blocked her with my body.
"Take this, you shouldn't use a cab or an Uber" I told her, handing her one of my car keys. She looked from me to the car key in my hand, like I've gone crazy.
"I'm not trying to control you. We still don't know if you're being followed or not. Like I said, I don't want to take chances so, transport yourself, you'll be safer" I told her. She looked at me for a while like she was thinking about it, then she smiled and took the key from me.
"Have a nice day at work" I forced a smile on my face and walked out of the house. What the fuck? Who on earth says that? "Have a nice day at work?" What the hell was I thinking?
I facepalmed myself, got into my car and drove to work. If I was going to keep Sewa, I had to learn how to stop being a jerk, at least that would be a good way to start.
