As they walked away, Henry gripped a giant, freshly fried churro in his tiny hands. Pushing his lips out, he blew on it to cool it down, took a big bite, and then dutifully offered it to the mother carrying him so she could take a bite too.

"Wayne! eat."

Wayne turned his little head away. "Brother, I'm eating."

He had his own churro clutched in his hands. He was busy.

Anya led the way. Spotting a vendor selling baby chicks, she squeezed through the crowd, fascinated. "Wow, aunts, look! The baby chicks are so cute!"

Henry looked around wildly. "Mommy, where are the chicks?"

Mia carried him over for a look. The moment Henry saw them, he squirmed, desperate to get down and pet them. Terrified of the mess, Mia immediately backed away. Losing sight of the chicks, Henry was just about to throw a tantrum when a piping hot piece of crispy bacon was shoved into his mouth. It tasted amazing, but it was incredibly hard to chew.

He pulled the piece of fried pork out to inspect it, then shoved it back in, gnawing on it with his baby teeth. Mia chewed on hers, the satisfying crunch echoing with every bite.

While Henry waged war against the tough piece of meat, Mia happily bought twenty dollars' worth of it.

The fried chicken on the right, the pickled garlic on the left, and the mountains of fresh vegetables on the ground were entirely lost on Mia and Molly. As notorious kitchen disasters, they could only watch helplessly as Anya expertly picked out fresh produce. The two women stuck exclusively to ready-to-eat street food.

"Mommy, is that a tomato?" Henry asked, pointing his little finger at a stall.

He had seen them in the picture books his brother had bought him.

"Yes, it is!"

"Brother, I don't know what that is," Wayne admitted. He didn't recognize it at all.

Thrilled that he got it right, Henry beamed. "I'll teach you when we get home!"

He pointed at another vegetable. "There! That's a cucumber!"
