I looked away and sighed. It's bad for me to be tired and stressed. I tried to calm myself down from the rising heart contractions.

Maybe, it's indeed wrong to love someone who doesn't love you back. You will be hurt. You will cry. You will hope. But, nothing is perfect in this world. There are things and circumstances that even if you try avoiding, you will still end up falling into its trap. You already knew where it would end up, but you still continued.

Selfishness. Just like what happened to me. I loved and I hoped, but in the end, I am still the loser. I lost the challenge. I was the one who gave up first. I was the one who cried first. I was the one who let go first.

"I love you, Olive."

I smiled bitterly without looking at Atlas. I wished he didn't say that. I wished he never said those words. I wished I didn't hear it. Because the truth is, it hurts. Because I know that it's not true.

I blew out a breath. I tried to keep myself composed from the anger that was slowly arising within me. I closed my eyes and leaned my back against the chair.

My eyes opened when I heard the car's door open beside me. I turned my gaze there and saw Kraius looking at me intently. Concern was evident in his eyes.

"Are you sure you're gonna do this?" he asked.

I nodded and looked at Kraius' eyes with the same intensity. I am very sure about the thing that I will do. I already prepared for this. I thought about it as well and it all ends here. In front of a big and wide building surrounded with tall concrete.

"Yes!" I said after a moment. I formed my hand into a fist and got out of the car. I was walking when I noticed that Kraius wasn't following behind, so I turned to him.

I saw him looking at me with disbelief. His hands are both inside his pockets. Hw was just wearing simple jeans and a polo shirt, but his distinctive charisma still stood out. He walked closer and stopped a few meters away from me.

"You don't need to do this, Olive," he muttered.

My forehead crumpled. Kraius was towering over me that I needed to look up just to see him. I can vividly see him contemplating. His eyes were pleading. Trying to convince me to stop but I am more than decided. No one could bend that decision.

We entered inside. A small room greeted my sight. A room that doesn't have any aircon. It had a small table made from plywood and a plastic chair. The paint used for the walls and everything was white, but it was already dirty due to long usage.

But, what caught my attention was the persona sitting on the plastic char. Her hands are on the top of the table. It was handcuffed and clasped together. Her head was lowered while her hair fell on her face. She wore an orange shirt for inmates.

"Salcedo!" a police officer shouted her surname.

Trina slowly got up and looked directly at us. I felt my body tremble. Not in fear but in anticipation. I also felt Kraius hold me tight. I whispered thank you to him and nodded. Kraius guided me to walk closer to the table in front of Trina.

When I finally got closer, I had the chance to look at Trina better. I can see how she changed. Sophistication and class wasn't with her anymore. All I could see right now is a wrecked and haggard Trina.

Plain face without any trace of make-up. Dry lips. Black eye bags that might be a result of lack of sleep. A messy hair. She also looked thinner. It was obvious that she was still getting used to the environment she's living in right now.
