After we ate, Atlas' sister and mother invited me to the room that I'm gonna use. It was only simple. There's a not-so-big bed and an old wooden cabinet with a mirror in front.
"Here are my new clothes, Olive. Atlas will come with you tomorrow to buy clothes," Leklek informed me.
I accepted it and placed it above the bed. "Thank you, Lek," I said. I sat beside Atlas' mother.
"I'm happy that you're gonna have a baby with my son, Olive. But, I'm also sad with what has happened for the past months." She stopped and held my hand. "You should change your clothes, dear. It's late. It's not good for a pregnant woman to sleep late," she reminded me.
"Okay," I agreed. "Thank you, Mama. Thank you because you still accepted me," I whispered.
"Only you," she said with a small smile, which made me smile too. She stood up and fixed the bedsheet I'm gonna use.
"I'll just get changed," I said and stood up, walking towards the bathroom connected to the bedroom.
I didn't take long inside the bathroom because it's too cold for me. I wore the paired pajamas and new underwear Leklek gave me. When I got out, there was no one but me.
I sighed and walked towards the bed. I crawled on top of it and covered my body with a thin sheet. I tried to close my eyes and sleep but I couldn't. I'm still new to the place and I'm also thinking about Daddy. I'm sure he's worried about me. I couldn't call him because Atlas has my phone.
I've been rolling around the bed for quite a time before I decided to turn off the lights. I sighed again and went back to bed. Hoping to finally fall into slumber this time. I removed all the thoughts and uncertainties.
When the door suddenly opened, I peeked at who it was. Just by smelling its perfume, I could already recognize who it was. I heard footsteps walking towards me but I didn't open my eyes. I know that he wouldn't stay long.
Or, so I thought.
I couldn't do anything when he laid beside me and hugged me from behind. My body stiffened in shock. When I turned to him, our nose bumped into each other. His lips were just a few inches away from mine.
My mind stopped. My heart hitched and my baby kicked. Maybe Atlas also felt it because his eyes widened while looking at me. His mouth opened to say something but he couldn't utter a word.
So, I ended it. I closed my eyes and kissed his lips.

I nodded at her. "Can you go with me and look around later? I want to see your place."
"Okay!"
I smiled at Leklek. "Wait for me, Lek. I'll just take a bath and dress up."
"Well, I'll leave you first," she said.
I watched her back as she walked away before finally entering the bathroom. It was just simple, the floor and walls were made of tiles. There's a small shower area and a big mirror in front of the sink. Meanwhile, the toilet was at the far corner.
My movements were fast as I removed all my clothes. My lips formed a genuine smile as I felt my baby kick inside my tummy. It stopped after a few seconds so I caressed my tummy.
This baby inside me was my new source of strength. My new hope. Because of him, I learned how to be strong, to withstand everything, to stand on my own feet. Also, I learned to value myself and to accept what happened to me and Atlas. To love and let go. To cherish the ones that love me more than those who love me less.
I shrugged my thoughts off and walked towards the shower. As the water touched my body, vivid memories came rushing to my mind. Endless of flashes, either a bad or good one. Memories that made my heart ache yet, the one that made my heart beat faster and alive. It was painful yet happy. Bittersweet, as they said.
