I remember when I got my first period, Jess gave me less tense period/sex talk, which was much better than the one my mother gave me cause my mom ultimately scared the living shit outta me by telling me that I could get pregnant by simply when a boy looks my direction. I knew she was kidding but now that I think about it, that was really unnesesary.
One thing that always struck me about Jess, was her unconditional love for Tristan. She would go out of her way to make sure that nothing bad ever happened to him because she always had his back, so I could tell she wasn't exactly thrilled about this whole wedding thing, even if it means standing up at the ceremony to object to the marraige.
Heck, I even agreed along with her on that one
"Jess, we don't have all day. We agreed on freshening up and meeting in the lobby in an hour", I breathed out when I saw her hesitate on all the outfits I was picking out for her.
"Jeans Liv?", she questioned when she saw me mix and match a pair of jeans and a top. I was also wearing simple jeans and a top and I looked fine.
"They look comfortable, you pair this with sneakers; you're good to go"
"Okay fine", she changed into the outfit I picked out, and I was quite pleased at how good she looked, simple yet trendy. She decides to add a few accessories to add the final touches; shades, rings and that sorta stuff and I legit couldn't argue with her because it was what she wanted. I don't even want to think how long it will take her to get ready when we hit the club tonight.
When we finally got to the lobby, Kevin and Tristan were still sipping on some pre-drinks while they waited for us
"About freaking time", Kevin complained when we reached where they were sitting. "We've been waiting on you for 30 minutes"
"Women are allowed to be fashionably late, Kevin", Jess pointed out before stealing Tristan's drink, and he whined in response
"Where's Nathan?", I curiously asked when I didn't see him anywhere, a part of me fearing that he might have changed his mind and decided to go back home because of what was happening between us. The tension, phew!
"I accidentally knocked his drink over and spilled it on his shirt, so he went to his room to change, but it's been more than 15 minutes", Tristan shrugged his shoulders
"-scissors", he pulled out scissors and I pulled out paper. He laughed while cutting through my hand and I huffed out a sigh while standing to my feet.
"Fine, I'll go", I started walking to the rooms I couldn't ignore the sinking feeling in the bit of my stomach because I was really nervous. I knew things had changed and were a lot tenser than before. I didn't even know what to expect from him because when I saw him for the first time today after telling me how he felt, I thought he wouldn't even want to look at me, but he wasn't showing any signs of being mad at me or anything, in fact he seemed really happy to see me... I was just as confused to as why he wasn't acting up.
Had me thinking, what is wrong with this man?
I knocked twice on Nathan's door as soon as I reached it and the door pulled open seconds later, and he didn't look surprised to see me, almost like he was expecting me to show up
"Liv", he folded his arms across his bare chest and I got distracted for a second before finally collecting my thoughts to focus on the main reason why I came here in the first place
"I'm just here to tell you we're waiting on you in the lobby", I stuttered, trying to sound confident whilst I was not because I couldn't stop myself from drooling from the sight of him
