Andrew was so hyped, he nearly tripped over his own feet.

Paradise gawked at him. “Andrew, could you be any more extra?”

Tourists all around turned to stare. I mean, showing up in a private jet? That’s not exactly subtle.

“I’m in a rush!” Andrew said, totally unapologetic. “And it’s your fault for not inviting me on this trip! Aunt Ana, Uncle Herman, good afternoon!”

Anastasia smiled warmly. “Afternoon, Andrew.”

Herman, face like stone, ignored Andrew and spoke into his phone, “Carter, your whole family’s got some nerve.”

Herman never sugarcoated things.

Carter just laughed on the other end. “Come on, we go way back. I’m leaving my son with you, don’t let him drive you crazy.”

Herman shot back, “Your helicopter is ridiculously over the top. When it’s time to go home, we’ll just hitch a ride on it, too.”

Carter: “…”

Honestly, Herman’s helicopter was probably even fancier, but who’s counting?

“No problem at all,” Carter said, playing along. “Go wherever you want. I’ll cover everything.”

“Thanks.”

Carter chuckled. “No need for thanks between us. Oh, and by the way—looks like Scott’s not so eager to get divorced anymore. I was at his office earlier, heard Sandy tried to see him a bunch of times, but he kept dodging her. Herman, what did you say to him? He actually seems to be listening for once.”

“He’s a grown man. He makes his own choices. Nothing to do with me.” Herman didn’t want to get dragged into this, even if he really had helped.

He ended the call after a few more words.

Not wanting to be left out, Andrew went off to rent a bike so he could ride along with Herman and the rest.

The housekeeper and nanny headed back to their rental.

Once everyone had rested up, the group set off again. Andrew rode side by side with Paradise, chattering away as always and making sure there wasn’t a dull moment.

“Paradise, isn’t Justin on summer break too? What if we went to see him at the marina?”

“He’s busy,” Paradise replied. “He’s in England for summer classes.”
