It was obvious from the way they interacted that the two knew each other well. The man addressed her warmly, “Una, don’t worry. Whatever you entrust to me, I’ll see it through.”

Una smiled. “Alright. Once it’s done, I’ll make sure you get a generous bonus. You won’t lose out.”

As the video ended, a heavy silence fell over the entire office.

Una’s face had drained of color.

Isabella let out a cold scoff and turned to the department head. “Well, now you have to believe I’m innocent, right? It was Una, that scheming little witch, who set me up.”

Facing Isabella’s accusation, Una looked genuinely frightened, shrinking behind the department head without saying a word.

But just then, the department head adjusted his glasses and spoke slowly, “Isabella, you’re claiming Una framed you just because of this video? What about your medication chart? Why wasn’t it filled out correctly? It’s a fact that, due to your oversight, the patient was given the wrong medication. I don’t care about your personal drama. I care about the facts. You made a mistake, and you should be punished.”

Isabella’s eyes widened in disbelief. She hurried to explain, “That’s because Una tampered with my medication chart! It was all her trick—”

But the department head cut her off, his face cold. “Enough. I’ve already made my decision. You’ve been written up, suspended for seven days, with a pay cut—what more do you want? You’re a doctor. If a mistake happens, you’re responsible. I don’t want to hear another word. Go home.”

With a sharp gesture, he waved her toward the door.

Isabella stared at him in shock. She couldn’t believe how little he cared about right or wrong.

Rebecca was stunned as well. So the department head never cared about the truth; he just wanted to make an example out of Isabella.

Clearly, he was in league with Una.

“Don’t try to scare us. You don’t actually know William, do you? Even if Dr. Thomson himself came down here, you’d still be in the wrong!”

With the department head backing her up, Una was feeling invincible.

Rebecca just smirked. “You’ll see soon enough.”

Panic flickered in Una’s eyes. If Rebecca really knew Dr. Thomson, things could get complicated.

The department head sensed the shift in the room as well.

Rebecca pulled out her phone and dialed. “William? I’m at the department head’s office. Something’s come up. Can you come down here?”
