"We have thirty minutes." and with that she left my room, swaying her hips. Rolling out of my bed, I took a quick shower. I decided a quick wash-n-go would be best since I don't have enough time to do a full wash routine. When I got out, I let Sienna do my make-up while I let my hair dry a little.

She finished in record time, allowing me to have more time to pick out what I was going to bring as my second set of clothes. I went back into my room and skimmed my dresser to see if I could put an outfit together. I decided on my black, skin tight crop tee paired with a pair of light wash jean shorts. I grabbed my dark blue and red t-shirt flannel to tie around my waist and pulled my black calf booties to top it off.

After putting that outfit in my spare bag, I put the outfit that she picked out on along with my everyday rings and bracelets. Finished, I grabbed my phone and slipped on my heels and head downstairs. Seeing that Sienna was already waiting for me, she tossed me a muffin. Catching it I bit into it.

"Briar, honey, can you wait with your father and I?" In mid bite, my mother called me. Glancing at Sienna, she groaned loudly.

"She'll have to get her own ride. I'm not waiting." She snapped.

"That's why I have a license, Sienna. Go on." I told her nicely. Sighing, she swung the door open and left. "What do you guys need to talk to me about?" I asked my parents as I took another bite of my muffin.

"Come sit down, honey. Your father and I have to talk to you." My mom instructed.

I sat down in between them, confusion written across my face,as I looked at my mom, casually taking bites of my muffin.

"Okay this may seem like a stupid question but you know about the whole Mate process right?" I nodded at my mother in a duh way, smiling. "And once you and your mate meet you feel this 'spark' that causes both of you to get your unique mate mark, yeah?" I nodded, still curious as to why they wanted to talk about this now.

My mom and my dad lift their sleeves to show me their unique mark that they both got one they felt the "spark".

"I guess where we're going with this is..." I looked at my father, egging him to continue, "Hun, have you found your mate yet?" I nodded then I stopped, mid chew.

"Well I've smelled him twice, I've just never seen him." I corrected it.

"When did you smell him?" My dad asked.

"On the night of my first shift and last night when I met my friend in the woods.

"Honey, you know how dangerous the woods are especially for a wolf like you. Please, for my and your mother's sake, don't shift again unless I or one of my most trusted soldiers are with you. I don't want something to happen to you when I'm not around." My dad begged.

"But dad, my friend protects me very well!" I argued shocked.

"Yes, I know about the spare clothes in your bag."

"How?" I questioned.

"Mother's always know," She claimed, "and you always came home in another outfit." She smiled. "Oh! Here! Before I forget." My mom handed me a beautiful moon stone necklace, I clipped it on and smiled. "It was your grandmother's."

Smiling, I Kiss them both and grab my keys to head off to school. Reaching the school, I texted Evie and told her that I'd be there soon.

Pulling into the school parking lot, I flicked off all of the guys with wandering eyes. Reaching Evie, I pulled her to the bathroom but not after shooting birds at the howling Jayden and Cooper. Passing Chase and Flynn on the way, I told them I'd be right back.

{Evie's POV}

When I was dragged past Chase and Flynn, I decided to use my enhanced hearing to see what those guys were talking about. They've always got something to say when we pass them. Waiting until Briar was locked in a stall, I toned my ears to hear the boys outside the bathroom.
