"Bro, I don't know how you're lasting this long. If I found my mate I would have marked her right then." Flynn claimed, hyping himself up.

Chase found his mate?

"That's because you're an Alpha. It's the Alpha thing to do." Chase sighs. "She doesn't know that I'm her mate yet and I don't want to push it." His mate must be human.

"You see her everyday. Just be like, 'Hey, I know you can't sense it but I'm your mate.'" Flynn suggested.

"Flynn, it's been almost three days and you don't understand how badly I'm trying to not kiss her everytime she is in front of me. She's just so beautiful and there are so many things I want to say and do to her right now. I'm trying to act as calm as possible but Koda keeps banging on the barrier trying to get out. I have to tell her soon because If I don't I'll lose control and Mark her at the wrong time and place. I want everything about this to be consensual."

Maybe he met his mate at Briar's party, wait then it wouldn't make sense. How does she not know if she's a wolf? Unless... I sat in shock processing and trying to put all the pieces together of who his mate could be.

the stall door unlocked and I broke the connection with Flynn and Chase's conversation.

{Briar's POV}

After I slipped into my second outfit, I stuffed the tight clothing in my bag, minus the heels. I'll put those in my locker on my way to first. I unlocked the stall door and walked out smiling at Evie. Finished, we walked out to go meet up with Chase.

"Hey," He greeted me.

"Hey," He asked me for a hug and I obliged, trying hard not to blush. I took in his scent. He had a minty woodsy smell.

"I don't know which outfit I liked more," He complemented.

I rolled my eyes and leaned out of his hold, "Who said you had to choose?" I smirked up at him.

"I mean shit," he dragged checking me out once more. I pushed his face away from me.

"All jokes aside though, anything new from your dad about your shifting rights?" He asked, leaning on the wall.

"Ah, there she is, Miss Lupa Alba." She grinned, emphasizing my title.

"Can I help you, Jessica?" I snapped.

"Nope, I just wanted to see what the Man in the Moon saw in you to make you the next ruler of all wolves. Like why little old you? I don't think you have what it takes to be Queen." She snickered.

"And what makes you think that?" I asked, leaning forward in my seat.

"Because..." She trailed trying to figure out what to say. I snickered at her and she flew forward and gripped the front of my sweater and lifted me from my seat. "Look you little bitch," Cooper stood up but I motioned for him to stay where he was, "You made my other half, my soul mate, fall for you right in front of me. And because you did that, he rejected me."

Shoving her as hard as I could, I stood up, knowing I wasn't as intimidating as her. "Listen very closely Jessica, I did no such thing. Braxton fell for me . I did nothing to make that happen and you know it. Now, how about you get out of my face you slut or I swear to god-"

The next thing I knew, a hand made contact with my left cheek. gasping at what she just did, I smiled at Deadly grin, Letting Tala take over. My eyes turned a greyish blue as my wound healed fast. I growled a deep, thick, deadly growl throwing her off guard. I may be a runt but when my wolf takes over I'm an assassin.
