"Here, Honey. Stay here," He pointed to a bench near the back corner. I nodded and sat down. "I'll be right on the other side of this wall, okay?" nodding again, I took my airpods out and put them in, pressing shuffle on one of my playlists.
I tapped on my Twitter app and scrolled through, favoriting and retweeting every now and then. I replied to Evie's text, worrying about where I was. Wishing me luck, we ended our chat and I resumed trying to find a song to listen to.
"Why is shuffle playing all of the bad songs?" I asked myself, skipping through each song that came on the screen. "Ah, finally." I settled while continuing to scroll through Twitter.
I closed my eyes and nodded to the music after checking all my news feed. Every now and then I'd look up and see a few betas in their early twenties smiling and winking at me. Rolling my eyes, I ignored them and continued listening to my music.
I crossed my legs as I leaned my head back and mouthed the lyrics occasionally. I felt a tap on my shoulder, pulling one bud out of my ear, I turned and made eye contact with a blue eyed, fair skinned, dark hair guy who looked at least nineteen. I gave a small smile at him while I paused my music.
"Hey, what is a pretty girl like you sitting out here all by yourself?" He asked. I smelt him, identifying him as an unmated male. Rolling my eyes, I answered him.
"Minding my business. You should try it some time." I replied abruptly. He closed his eyes and took in heavy breaths, obviously identifying my scent.
"Damn, there is a lot of power radiating off of you. May I ask who your father is?" smiling he rested his hand on mine. Slightly smiling, I slit my eyes at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Alpha David Stone." I claimed. His eyes widened as he gaped at me.
"You're the Lupa Alba? Oh shit," He said scooting closer. I watched his actions very closely as he sat down next to me. His hand grazed mine as he laid it on my inner thigh by my special spot. "I can smell that you're not mated yet, so technically I'm not breaking any rules." I began to move out of his hold but he squeezed my thigh as he leaned closer to me, his lips getting very close to mine. Tala was growling at him to move away.
I jumped up and when I tried to run, I hit a hard figure. His arms wrapped around my shoulders as he steadied me. I looked up and I released a breath of relief when I saw Chase. I forgot he was a Beta.
"Hey, are you okay?" I nodded while he looked down at me, the look of concern in his eyes. "Wait-"Right when he was about to finish his statement, I was pulled back into another muscular figure.
"You made it seem pretty convincing, like it was true." I was hoping and praying that he would say it was because I trusted him enough to believe him even without being in wolf form. He showed me that he was someone I could trust without using my only advantage.
He stiffened up and then loosened a little. He shook it off and shook his head. "Nah, I'm just a really good actor," He winked at me.
I sadly smiled and slowly pulled from his hold. "Have...have you smelled your mate yet?" I asked cautiously.
Shaking his head, he smiled at me. "Nope, not yet. Why?"
"Just curious." I smiled, looking away. I turned to him and his hand pushed a piece of hair behind my ear and then rested on my cheek. I smiled at him as I leaned into his touch.
