"Attention all Betas, please make your way to the round room." A lady on the intercom interrupted our "moment". He smiled at me and did something I never thought that he would do. He leaned over and kissed my forehead. I felt a slight spark as his lips lingered on my forehead. When he pulled away, he sent me a signature smile, making me swoon, before walking off. I sat down and smiled while I waited for my dad to get out.
Finally my dad exited the room. I stood up and slid my headphones into my pocket, meeting up with him. "Hey, ready to go?" He asked me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders.
I lightly shook my head. "Um, I was actually wondering if we can wait for a friend of mine who's in the Beta meeting." I smiled.
He smirked at me. "Hun, I would but I made reservations at your favorite restaurant so we can have brunch since it was 12:30 and there's no point sending you back to school for two and a half hours. And then after brunch I was going to take you out birthday shopping and you can get anything you want. Just no tattoos." He pointed. I jumped up and down gleefully as I hopped towards the car. "Okay, okay, I see you're happy about that." I nodded as I stopped and climbed into the passenger side.
We drove off and headed off to eat. I sat in the seat with my knees pulled to my chest, thinking about the events that had just happened earlier. I blushed just thinking about that kiss.
About fifteen minutes later, we pulled into the parking lot of Wolf's Den. Walking up, I could sense an overwhelming amount of wolves in the restaurant. My dad told the human waitress our names and she guided us to a booth in the back of the restaurant. We were handed menus, not like I needed one. I basically grew up here, I already knew what I wanted.
I pulled out my phone and saw that I got a text from Cooper and Chase. Reading them over I texted them back saying that I'd text them later since I was out with my dad. A different waitress approached us. She nodded at my dad and nodded a little lower at me.
"Hi, my name is Courtney and I'll be serving you guys today. Can I start you off with a drink?" She asked as she pulled her notebook out. We both nodded and my dad motioned for me to go first. I ordered a sweet tea and my dad ordered a cup of black coffee. "Alright, I'll be back with your drinks in a minute." We smiled and thanked her.
She walked into the kitchen and my dad discussed a few things, some awkward and some not. I laughed at how awkward my dad was about talking to me about mates. I answered him as truthfully as possible, careful to not tell him about Chase and I. Courtney came back, like she promised, with our drinks.
He finally finished. He paid with cash up at the desk and handed me the keys. "We can go to any mall you want." I smiled and hopped in the front seat. After adjusting the chair, I drove towards the mall I always go to.
I parked in the parking garage right across from JC Penny's. Getting out, my dad gave me the cue to walk and he'd follow. One thing I've learned as I've gotten older is that I don't really have a specific style. I like what I like and I wear what I want, so going to the mall and shopping is quite pointless to me. I'm just going to continue roaming the mall until I maybe find something I like.
But I started where I knew: Forever XXI. Roaming the store and holding a handful of clothing, I made my way to the dressing room while my dad sat in the front of the store waiting for me. When I finished I met my dad out in the front and he bought my clothes. The cashier handed me my bag and my dad followed me to the next spot.
I had been wanting to get some new piercings for a while. I walked over to the piercing chair and picked out two sets of earrings. Once the employee came over, I explained to her that I just wanted to extend my current piercings, so turning my two into four piercings. My dad paid for the cleaning sets and we made our way to Starbucks.
