I picked out a reusable Venti cup to go along with my iced drink. Getting our drinks, my dad looked at me. "Okay, Briar, I'm impressed." Glancing up at him, I tilted my head.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because Sienna almost bankrupted me when I took her birthday shopping and you barely went over three-hundred dollars." He admitted. Smiling, I shrugged. We got back in the car and headed home. I texted Evie from the passenger seat telling her that I was on my way home. My phone buzzed with the specific vibration I set up for her.

Evie-

Okay, cool. The boys and I are at the pack house with Ophelia. Your mom is making Pizza for dinner in about an hour so hurry home.

Smiling, I replied.

Me-

Don't worry. Half way home now.

Locking my phone, I sang along with the music that played on the radio until we got home. When we pulled into the dive way of the Pack house, I jumped out with all my stuff so I could show my mom and friends.

I ran upstairs and followed the sound of the video games in the game room. I walked in and set my stuff in front of Evie. She threw open the Forever XXI bag and screamed.

"This and these," I showed her my earrings, "are my birthday presents from my dad." I smiled.

She gasped. "They're gorgeous!" She claimed. "Girl who you are trying to look good for?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me.

"Oh hush. I dress nice for myself, not for anyone else." I sat down in between the boys and picked up a controller.

"Yeah okay, sure." Jayden teased, nudging me. I rolled my eyes and added my character in as I looked for Ophelia.

"Where's Lia?" I asked.

"Oh no worries," He assures me. "I'll just tell you," He starts to speak and I jumped and covered my ears as he tried to explain to me what happened in the episode last night.

"No! Stop!" I demanded trying to walk away from him. He laughs and stops. He patted my shoulder and I carefully pulled my hands from my ears. He leaned in close by my ear and I was prepared to cover them but instead I laughed at his Captain America reference.

"Hail Hydra," He whispered in my ear. I hugged him since I had to go to my locker which was across the school and his first period was the opposite direction. I got to my locker and inserted my combination. When it unlocked I pulled out my books that I needed for my classes. I sensed that another wolf was nearby and when I closed my locker I saw Chase leaning up against the lockers smiling at me.

"Hey," I greeted holding my books.

"Hey," he leaned in and kissed my cheek. Blushing I place my hand where his lips met my face.

"What was that for?" I ask smiling. He shrugs and looks me up and down, smiling. I blush and shift my weight as I wait for his eyes to meet mine again.

"You look beautiful, did you know that?" He compliments. I wasn't expecting it so I didn't have anything to say. I just bit my lip and looked away.
