When the bell rang he walked me to class, interlacing our fingers. I blushed at his sudden romantic affection towards me. Pushing a strand of hair behind my ears, I held Tala back who tried to break down the barrier. When I got in front of the classroom, I shivered at the sudden blast of cool air. Chase took off his jacket and gave it to me to wear. Blushing, I thanked him. I am blushing way too much this morning. He interlaced our fingers again and brought my hand to his lips, kissing the back of my hand.
He shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked away, meeting up with Flynn as he did and doing their little handshake. When I walked into the class, I was getting glares from the girls and growls from she-wolves. I continued to the back of the class where Cooper was playfully glaring at me. I blushed and hit his chest.
As I sat down, I pulled Chase's jacket around my body, his scent flooding my nose. I took in as much of his woodsy, minty smell, that calmed me. I half listened to my teacher and half texted whoever I could, including Chase.

Right after lunch, I walked with Evie, Cooper and Jayden to the boy's locker room so they can get something. Evie and I sat outside on the wall across from the door. As boys walked out, they eyed us and winked at us. We ignored them and continued our conversation.
"Well, well, well. Just the person we were looking for." We looked up and were met with the gazes of two werewolves from a neighboring pack. I could sense the amount of power radiating off of them, but not as much as what radiates off of Flynn.
"Beta and Gamma?" I asked pointing to them. They nodded and I continued talking to Evie.
"Because of you, two of our pack members were killed." I snapped my head up.
"It's not my fault that your friends got killed." I assured them standing up, knowing I'd be a child compared to them.
"It is if the reason they were killed was because hunters were looking for you and thought our friends was you hiding in a bush." The Gamma explained. I gaped in horror knowing that hunters were after me.
"You okay, Bri?" Chase asked placing his hand on mine. Nodding I slightly smile. I craw into him and he gives me a hug, a comforting one. When he pulls away he hand finds its way to my cheek, he caresses my cheek. He leans in and kisses me softy on the lips. This unexplainable spark shot through my body as I kissed him back. I knew he felt it too because he flinched slightly.
This was the spark that everyone talks about feeling with your mate when you hold this strong romantic pull towards them, when you are addicted to your mate so much that one touch sends you soaring. This is what I felt towards Chase; I genuinely loved him and cared for him more than I knew. He makes me beyond happy.
He pulls away and I open my eyes, which I didn't even realize I closed. I didn't realize how badly I wanted him to kiss me until I realized that it was done. He smiles at me, his hand still on my cheek. "I've been wanting to do that since the first time I saw you in the woods." I blushed and bit my lip.
"God, please don't do that." He chuckles. "You'll make me kiss you again. This time I might not stop." I blushed the deepest shade of red that was possible and smiled as I looked away. "You're just so...irresistible." He says gazing at me. "I have something to tell you, can you meet me at the tree tonight right before sun down?" He asks. I nod and smile. He kisses my forehead and stands back up to walk out with Flynn, Allison and the other guy, He was eying Jayden.
