"I said that I want to mark you so bad. I don't normally act like this but you're my mate and my wolf is itching to have you. I just don't want to ruin this." He said looking away.

Sighing I kiss his cheek. "Don't doubt it that I haven't been thinking about it. I guess I'm not ready for the whole mating process yet. I'm not ready to be a mother."

"Geez and you think I am?" He chuckles. "When I do mark you there is no way we mate without protection. I'm still in high school." I smiled at him and nodded. He kissed my nose and interlaced our fingers. As he pulled me towards the door I grabbed my phone and bag on the way out.

"Have you finished packing yet?" He asked breaking the silence.

"Just about. Not much left, I don't think." I smiled. My hand sits weird when we hold hands since he is like two and a half feet taller than me, so I would wrap my arms around his.

Walking outside my dad just got on the stage, looking over the crowd until his eyes landed on me. "Ah there's my daughter. Come sweetie," he motioned me over and I let go of Chase's arm, but not before growling at the she-wolf sluts eyeing my mate. They froze and went back to what they were doing before.

I kissed Chase's cheek and then walked through the path that was made by the pack members. I waved as I walked through and accepted all the complements I got. When I reached the make-shift stage that my dad was standing on, I walked up the stairs and stood next to him. He kissed my forehead and then smiled.

"How many of you know why we're having this cook out?" A little more than half raised their hands. "Okay well for those of you who don't know, Briar has found her mate - well her wolf has - and today she is moving to his pack. Most of you know who he is; Chase Murray is Beta of The Umbra pack." I looked over at him and saw the same girls gazing at him. I knew how to fix that problem.

-Grace and Marcy, if you don't get your imaginative and wandering eyes off my mate right now I will tear off your arms and shove them up your asses so far they come out your noses.- I blinked and my eyes flicked back. I looked at Grace and Marcy and gave them a dominant smirk as they shivered with fear and walked away from Chase.

Chase looked at me and winked. Smiling at him I tried to catch on to what my father was saying.

-Cooper, Jayden, please come help me. Braxton pulled me behind the stage and he's raping me. Please get Chase and help me before he marks me- I linked. When I came back his lips lingered on my neck.

I pulled my neck away but he followed. I yanked my head away but he stopped me this time. He pointed at his fangs, which were elongated. "One more move and you're mine forever." He went back to kissing my neck as one of his hands slid down to my skirt. I told myself I would never cry but I was honestly scared. Tears leaked from my eyes as he most likely left hickeys on my neck and collarbone and while his hand lingered on my butt.

I took my hand and covered the mark on my arm hoping that something would happen, but I was mistaken. The mark is just a sign saying that you've found your mate. The mark is how your mate can find you, feel you, and own you. That's the mark that really matters.

Right as Braxton's lips had made it to my cheek he was ripped away from me. I dropped to the ground and put my head in my hands, crying. Right after I dropped I was pulled into a set of muscular arms and they picked me up. I looked up and saw Chase holding me. He kissed me and then examined my neck afterwards. Growling, his eyes turned a darker shade of green. I couldn't see the amount of hickeys but there must've been a lot because Chase's eyes kept wandering up and down my neck.
