"but you're the Alpha. Alpha over powers Beta." I explained, though he should know that.
"yeah, I know. But Alpha doesn't over power best friend with a mate who is Lupa Alba and needs protecting especially after what happened today." He smiled at me.
I groaned. "He told you?"
"Briar, why wouldn't he? We're best friends plus he's my Beta. He felt it was right to tell his Alpha what happened to his mate dealing with rogues." He sighed.
giving him a crooked smile, I grab my purse out of the car. "Well thank you, I guess. I like knowing people care..." I trailed. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened in the woods with Braxton. he seemed so weird and...gross. I didn't even care that he got beaten up by three guys.
Not much longer, Chase came back out and smiled at me. "Come on, Bri, I have something waiting for you upstairs in our room." He smiled a cheeky grin and held out his hand to me. I too his and let him lead me up the stairs. He opened two large double doors and inside there was the furniture I picked out at IKEA yesterday. He even got the sheets too.
"How did you-" He cut me off before I could finish.
"I got help from my friends on the other side." He smirked.
I glanced at him. "Did you just quote The Princess and the Frog?" I asked as I pointed at him.
He chuckled and nodded. "hey me and- oh I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?" A familiar guy asked that walked in.
"Nope Liam, you and you're fine. what's up?"
"the pack is ready for the dinner out back. anything we can do?" Liam stated.
"Your grandmother's moon stone necklace? yes. I had your parents give me the necklace last night and I had one f my most trusted jewelers craft it into a ring so it can be a small stone on your hand instead of a huge one on your neck." He smiled at me.
"All this for me?" I gasped as he slipped it on my left hand.
"Yes because you're incredibly special Briar. Not Just because of what you are but who you are also makes you you. you're amazing and don't let anyone change that. okay?" he asked me before kissing my lips. I nodded when he pulled away.
"come on, get dressed. the dinner has already started." i nodded again as he kissed my forehead. I grabbed my dress, heels and jewelry before walking into the equally huge bathroom.
I stood in awe for about a minute and then I changed out of my skirt and shirt and into my new dress. I looked at myself in the mirror and gazed at the dress. The skater dress was a 3/4 sleeve grey and white stripped on the top half and the bottom half was a light pink skirt with a small light pink bow to split it. i slipped on my heels and clipped the gold chain around my neck and gold bracelet on my wrist before adding a second necklace with a pearl hanging from a silver bow on a silver chain. I then pulled my silver hair up into a ponytail and tied a pink ribbon around it. I hung the purse over my shoulder and walked out of the bathroom.
Chase was in the closet changing so i knocked on the door and waited for an answer. when I finally got a faint "come in", I opened the door and saw him standing in front of the mirror looking handsome as ever wearing dark blue jeans with a dark blue button down shirt tucked in with a brown belt around his waist, he was pulling on a sports jacket with a red hankey when I walked in.
