The KTV job was just a side gig. I still had to work during the day.

On Monday, a client came to the company.

My colleagues were gossiping, "I heard this client is a genius. He initially created this system to find someone."

"Who? Who was he looking for?"

"Probably his ex-girlfriend."

My eyelids twitched. I had a vague sense of foreboding.

"Did he find her?"

"I don't know. The system isn't finished yet. A lot of big shots have invested in it, and the prospects are unlimited. The boss wants to collaborate too."

I organized the documents.

At the reception room door, Jordan's voice came through.

"I need to think more about the collaboration," he said.

I pushed the door open and placed the documents on the table.

Jordan stared at me intently. "What are you doing here?"

"Working," I replied.

In the evening, I grabbed my bag and left work on time.

Jordan stopped me. "Where are you going? I haven't dismissed you yet."

"Mr. Bell, I can't work overtime today. I have something to do," I said.

"What is it?"

"I'm delivering food," I replied.

Jordan looked at me in disbelief.
