"Olivia stop saying that. You know you can't do that, you're always the peacemaker and am sure you'll try to smoothen our relationship next time. So I don't think this meaningless words are helpful to you or to me." She says looking at me hopefully with a smile on her face.
"You know what?
I curse the day we were ever formed together in the same egg in our mother's womb, and I'll won't try anymore. Am done trying to fix a broken relationship that's already doomed from the start" I say thinking of the pain of betrayal running and coursing deep into my viens.
"I angrily pull out the bed's duvet covers from David which left them both exposed and stark naked. Then I push them off the bed not caring if I would be seen as a mad woman I then looked around for something inflammable and that's when I saw a bottle of alcohol. Sniffing it to be sure it's really alcohol I turned and smirked at them.
As caring as I am, I've helped them call the fire department and they will be here shortly just in case it all goes hay wire.
"You know what?
"Fuck this, fuck you!
"Maybe I never did love you after all, maybe everything was all just a mirage."I say tersely.
"I don't think you really know what this small amount of alcohol can do, or do you?" I ask talking as if I were lecturing a bunch of kids with a crazed look on my face. Am pretty sure my eyes that looks all blotchy and red which seems to perfect the whole crazed look.
"Staring at Hailey with her eyes wide with fear as she comprehends what am about to do.
"You wouldn't, you don't have the guts" She says softly with a demure look as she stands erect display all her assets with pride.
"You bitch!"I thought...
"Dare me then"I say smiling at how much she has underestimated me.
"For a quiet one, you're becoming quite bold you know. But I still know you, you wouldn't dare do it. Besides you designed this whole room yourself with your money and efforts and you're the truth kinda girl you never played dare always truth"She says as she folds her arm around herself her hips sticking out.
"Stop Aggregating her"David say trying to stop Hailey from poking me .
"Relax David, she's just a tiger without claws. She can't do a thing"She says with her eyes in a challenging glint.
"Dare me then. Just because I took care of the interior designing dosen't mean it's mine. Not anymore, besides since it's all rotten and tainted by you i need to do the needful by getting rid of it."I say smiling, more angry and upset she thinks this much of me
"I dare you"She says emphasizing the words with so much assurance...
"Finally, thought you would never say the words"I muster as I
turn my back at them I poured the whole bottle of liquor on the duvet with the bed spread lighting up the fire as the flames begin to eat up the materials I then go into the hallway to grab all their littered clothing then dropping them with the rest into the flame.
After all the inspection and grabbing my bag pack I walk out of the airport tiredly. I could feel my stomach grumbling out of hunger."I sigh out of frustration.
I refused the lovely buffet the hostess offered me yesterday, I guess I was pretty upset and banged up to eat"Sighing it then hit me that i didn't take anything else with me except my emergency bag which contains a few clothes my credit card, my phone and laptop.
"Grimacing at how grief has pushed me to make an irresponsible move. I guess I'll just have to shop for a new wardrobe but first I'll need to call my mom to pick me up from the airport.
"It's better than catching a cab. My Mom and Dad are divorced, after the divorce Mom pratically moved back here, she never returned to New York City. I remember when I was younger it was too difficult for me to accept my parents were separating and I had to adapt to the fact that I had two homes, one to stay for a long period while the other to stay for a short period. I came to spend my holidays at Euronia with my Mom, Hailey refused to see our mother. She vehemently refused to see her again after the divorce." Well I haven't been a fillal daughter myself either, ever since I founded my own company I stopped my occasional visits and I haven't contacted her in a while. Picking up my phone nervously I then dailed my Mom's number telling her to come pick me up at the airport. .
"She sounded shocked and excited on the phone. Then she scolded me for not informing her earlier about my arrival but decided not to say much which she noticed the anxiety in my voice , she told me to stay put and that she's on her way to pick me up.
"So I waited for what felt like an eternity, not minding the weird looks people and tourist sent my way as they passed. I probably looked horrible anyway so no amount of trying to look presentable will help matters. My hair is a horrid mess, since I cried my eyes out my mascara must have been ruined give me a look of a depressed soul and the jumpsuit am putting has gone all wrinkled.
"Just then the hunk of a blue BMW pulled up in front of me drawing me out of my thoughts and just then a sense of warmth enveloped me when I stare at the woman who made me. I smile at my Mom who doesn't look a day older with her glowing skin and beautiful smile and her eyes dancing with so much excitement. Trying not to be the person to put a frown on her beautiful face I just hopped in smiling, trying my best to sound cherry.
"Hi, Cupcake" Mom says sweetly with the voice that seems to bring me joy. Now I realized how I missed her so much.
"Hi Mom" I say tightly, just utterly the word Mom makes me want to burst into tears again. I but my lips trying to concentrate on the pain in inflict on myself instead of brawling my eyes out in front of her, and here I thought thier's no more tears to cry.
"A silent pause hung in the air after the greeting....
