The One Night Stand Queen novel Chapter 4

"Ollie Dear, you look so pale. Is everything alright? Why the sudden visit?. Not that am not thrilled but something must be up." she says softly with her motherly tone.

"I just want to go home Mom, I'll tell you everything at home"I say staring out the window trying to distract myself by staring out the beautiful scenery.

"Euronia is really beautiful Mom, The view here is to die for mom, I love it"I murmur....

"I know Ollie, it's really is beautiful" she says, I could see her from the side of my eyes giving me a concerned look but then focused on driving us home. Grateful she took the hint of my dismissive tone and didn't ask anymore questions" I sigh out in relief.

"Do you ever get tired of it " I say, trying to enjoy the serenity if the environment without bursting into tears.

"Never " she murmurs.....

"We are home". she says smiling as she pulls up into a Victorian styled house. With it's large arched windows and magnificent walls.

"It's beautiful" I whisper staring at the old but beautiful house

"Is that all you brought along with you, didn't you bring any luggages or maybe a suitcase"She asks as she turns off the ignition and steps out.

"I pull open the door stepping out as we both walked into the house in a comfortable silence.

"I didn't bring any suitcase Mom just my bag"I say as I stated at her watch the way she's scruntizing me with her eyes trying to see through my soul.

"I know that look Mom. Would you stop concluding already, I say as I watch the way her eyes moved trying to find out what happened to me.

"How do you know me so well"She says laughing as she walks up to me grabbing my hands as we step into the house. I observe the unique design. And antiques. The familar scent of baked goods and my mom's smell seems to bring tears into my eyes. I then drop my back pack on the floor taking a seat in the couch with my Mom.

"Do you want anything tea or coffee maybe. I have some freshly baked goods maybe cupcakes?" she asks trying to lighten the look on my face by bribing me with one of my favorite pastries.

"David has always been ambitious, that I know and I actually thought it's a viable trait for him to have if he were to run the company after our marriage. But now realizing how stupid I had been for a foolish feeling Called "Love" I was ready to hand down my company to someone like him. It's better I found out that David was a cheat instead of regretting my decision of ever marrying him and become a young divorcee.

"Getting rid of that vile engagement ring marks the end of my old life and a start of a new one, this time I won't fall that easily, I can't seriously believe I was so dumb. The signs were pratically there. The fact that he was a complete sleazy womanizer and a dirty scumbag but I refused to notice it and instead became blinded by love .

"Sighing I climb up the stairs going into my old room. Everything looks so small now, I drop my bag stepping into the shower to bathe. As I stood under the shower head I begin to scrub out my body, washing off all that is left of David, washing away his kisses and all the memories with him. It's all a lie, a freaking lie and mirage.

"After my shower I pull out a tank top and a high waist trousers from my backpack.

I then climb back down the stairs seeing that Mum has prepared some dinner. We ate together, laughing and catching up with each other.

"So Have you told your dad about what happened"She suddenly ask.

"I will, after I spoil myself with a nice shopping spree. I'm sure Dad will be thrilled to hear this news he hates David."I say grimacing at the thought of telling my Dad what happened, he'll surely scream the "I told you so"in my face.
