Chapter 861
Third Person’s POV
Camilla immediately scolded.
“Nolan! Mind your manners!”
“Mommy, he really stinks. I don’t want to play with him.”
Nolan pinched his nose and glared at Cedric in disgust. “Stay away from me!”
Adelaide’s wolf instantly tensed at the sudden insult. A surge of protectiveness made her want to release her gamma aura, but she tried her best to hold it back.
Lance’s hand pressed gently on her waist. His powerful alpha pheromones quietly soothed her, reminding her to stay calm.
Cedric stood awkwardly beside Adelaide, subconsciously reaching out to tightly grip the hem of his shirt.
Every time he returned to the pack, he had to soak in the herbal hot spring prepared by Digby for three whole hours. He had long grown used to the smell of the medicine.
A sense of humiliation washed over him.
Back when he was a helpless lone wolf, wandering and begging on the streets, he had silently endured countless taunts just like this. “You stink too much! You’re just a pup no pack wants, get lost.”
Adelaide sensed the inferiority bleeding into Cedric’s pheromones. She immediately reached out and held his cold little hand, comforting him through the mind link.
“Don’t listen to him. I love the smell of this medicine; it’s healing you.”
Cedric looked up at Adelaide, his wolf seemingly finally finding salvation.
Right. He was no longer that rogue anyone could trample on. Couldn’t he endure even this tiny bit of provocation?
He took a deep breath and smiled calmly. As long as the family he cared about most still loved him, he didn’t care at all about other people’s opinions or judgment.
Camilla caught sight of Lycan Clarrisa looking at Nolan with anger, and immediately

understood.
She quickly stood up, placed her hands on Nolan’s shoulders, and said strictly.
“Who taught you to be so rude? Apologize to Cedric immediately!”
Nolan arrogantly raised his chin and shouted stubbornly.
“I won’t apologize to a beggar who was once abandoned!”

Before he could finish his sentence, he was hoisted into the air. He received two heavy smacks on his bottom, making him tremble in pain, and he instantly opened his mouth and burst into loud wails.
“Stop crying!”
Lance held him up with one hand, his deep voice laced with a hint of anger.
Nolan had been spoiled by his mother and the servants in the palace since he was a baby. Feeling the aura rolling off Lance-an aura holding pure killing intent forged on the battlefield -the seven-year-old child immediately trembled in fear and shot a pleading look at his mother.
Camilla’s eyes flickered. She quickly masked a fleeting flash of anger on her face and continued to scold Nolan.
“Apologize this instant! Otherwise, I’ll go tell your father right now and let him know what ridiculous things you’ve done today!”
After speaking, Camilla intentionally observed Lycan Clarrisa’s reaction, only to find her looking down and sipping her coffee, her emotions completely unreadable.
Seeing that his closest mother wasn’t standing on his side, Nolan finally mumbled a few reluctant words as an apology.
Cedric generously forgave him. Nolan immediately turned and sprinted toward the door, not even bothering to bid farewell to the adult werewolves present.
Camilla awkwardly apologized to Lycan Clarrisa.
“I am truly sorry. It’s my fault for not educating Nolan well. I will go back and explain things to him right now.”
Lycan Clarrisa nodded coldly.

Before leaving, Camilla’s gaze met Lance’s icy wolf eyes. She was almost frightened into stumbling by the killing intent shooting from him, forcing her to quicken her pace and flee the hall in a panic.
It wasn’t until Camilla completely left that Priscilla, who had been enduring it for a long time, pulled Cedric into her arms.
Angry tears shimmered in her eyes. If Lycan Clarrisa hadn’t stopped her with a look just now, based on Nolan’s stupid words, she would have ruthlessly punished Nolan even if it meant risking the wrath of Lycan Erasmus.
“With all due respect, Camilla’s education of Nolan is severely lacking. Instilling such narrow- minded prejudice in him-how is he supposed to be the heir of this country in the future and love every common werewolf in this nation with equality and compassion?”
Lycan Clarrisa glared coldly at Priscilla, motioning for her to shut up.
Then, she put her warm and kindly smile back on and waved to Cedric.
