Max's POV-
I told Logan my story. Told him about my mom and how she was abusive and shit. And he brings me to her side of the family's house. How could he do that to me...?
He knows I was abused by her and my "father" who I forgot I was ever his actual child. I was blamed for everything she did in life because she couldn't face that it was her fault.
Now here I am, sitting in the living room of my grandfather's house along with my uncle. To say that I wasn't scared that they would turn and beat me until I die, was a lie. I am having a hard time trying not to show my fear and trying to control my breathing. But at least Logan was there to calm me down slightly.
Jack broke the silence first. Started with questions pointed to me... Yay...
"Max, how long were you abused?" He said quietly.
"Eight to fifteen, sir, but then I was kidnapped about a year after they died, so all together, about eight years," I replied coolly, trying to let any of it get to me.
"Y-you were kidnapped?" James asked sounding a little frightened.
"Yeah. I've been through a lot. More then anyone knows beside me," I stated looking over to James.
"How long were you there... when you got kidnapped?" James questioned.
"5 months," I said slowly.
"What did they do to you?" Jack asked.
Logan shifted besides me. Since I didn't tell him anything about my kidnapping, I know he wants to know.
I pointed to one of the worst scars I have. The one on my right arm, from my shoulder to my elbow.
"I talked back and he didn't like it," I state in a bored tone.
They all stare at me, including Logan.
I stood up and unzipped the back of my dress, only showing my back. I held the front of my dress with one arm, preventing it from falling down.
"I was whipped countless times because the fucker was 'old school' and liked to see the blood and scars. The wounds were painfully reopened countless times in countless different ways." I say zipping the dress back up. And turning around again.
I didn't bother looking at them because I wasn't down yet. I lift my dress up some, only showing my left thigh where a thick, round scar was.
"What was the from?" Logan asked quickly.
I never knew what it stood for or what it meant but I could never forget what it looked like... Ever.
I hand the notepad back to him and his eyes widened and he looked over to James. Jack showed James and shared a look.
"Rose Blood," they said at the same time.
Max's POV-
Rose Blood. That must be the name of the pack that my kidnapper is from. Huh. I thought I would react differently to this kind of news, but I just sat their staring at the wall. Nothing.
Is Rose Blood some like murderous pack, though? I looked over to Logan to see his reaction, and it was different from mine. His eyes were wide, filled with shock. He was a disbelief at the answer my apparent family members gave.
No one said anything for awhile. Just sat there staring at each other, uncomfortably in my opinion. I was the only one that was moving around and I was about to ask what was going on but Jack beat me to it.
"Max, do you know who, uh, kidnapped you?" he asked in a strain voice.
I nodded. It was hard to forget the face of someone who tortured you daily for hours on end for months. It was seared into my brain and no matter what I do, it is always there. His face. Haunting me for all eternity.
I grabbed the same notebook that I drew the Rose Blood seal on an started to draw a rough sketch of him. It wasn't great, but it was enough to get a good description of him. Just drawing him brought back a ton of stuff I didn't want to remember.
