The next second the girl it turning around slowly, then started to sprint. That made my wolf whimper again and to start running after her. She seemed to quicken her sprint somehow after here us chase after us.
I really didn't know what my wolf was trying to accomplish with chasing after her. She was human and probably didn't understand what was happening. I was trying to take back control, but it was no use with all the walls my wolf had built up.
I watched as the girl fall to the ground and wince as she rolled over onto her back. This time it was both me and my wolf that whined as we heard her whisper something under her breath.
he pulled herself in a sitting position and just stared at us, non moving. She green eyes pierced mine and I don't know how long we stayed like that for. Seconds? Minutes? Hours?
In a split second the girl was shaking her head and standing up. Her back was turned towards us as she made her way back from where she started, and looking at the way she held herself, she knew we weren't going to come after her.
As I regained control over my body, I continued to try to calm down my wolf. He was all but crying over the fact he ruined any chance we had with our mate, but it wasn't true.
I had to make it home and get read before I was late for school. All I wanted to do was run back to her and claim her, but she was human and we all had to ease her into this life.
I made it back to my family's house, which was separate from the pack house, and quickly got changed. I ran to my car and started the short drive there.
As I got to school, I met up with everyone and talked for a bit before splitting apart to go to our classes. The strange part of this year was Geena and I have all the same classes, which I feel like she arranged secretly.
"Oh right, did I tell you there is a new girl is attending the school?" Geena asked as we walked to first period.
"No, you didn't," I stated giving her a look. "I thought we told each other everything..."
"Don't be like that! But yeah, she's pretty cool. Threw a punch at Jacob and it brought him to the floor, it was one of the funniest things. But she's not going to be here today," she explained.
"Why?" I questioned.
"She said that she didn't feel all that great after exploring the wood near her apartment, but she said she would be here tomorrow." Geena smiled and skipped into class.
"What's her name?" I asked, realizing Geena never said it.
"Oh. I let her introduce herself. She's different. I love her as a sister already! We should become really great friends and tell her about us!" Geena exclaimed.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You know we're not allowed to tell the humans about us," I whispered.
"Unless she was someone's mate," she winked, while smirking. Geena walked away from me and into the class. I growled quietly.
I walked into class and basically zoned out the entire class just think about my mate. Was she the new girl here? Why did Geena keep giving me these random looks from across the room? Why wouldn't they tell me about her?
"Well, technically... I didn't really meet her, I went for a run and found her in the wood walking the trails," I muttered.
"That's almost so lame it's pathetic," Micah stated giving me a bored look.
"Well it's true!" I glared at her.
"What does she look like?" Hannah asked.
"Tell me who the new girl is then I will tell you about my mate," I smirked.
"You did not just do that," Geena said.
"I think I just did," I challenged.
"Well, I guess we have to wait until tomorrow," Geena smirked back.
'I know you're dying to know,' I mind linked her smiling evilly now at her.
