'Fucker,' she scowls back.
'Is that how you treat our favorite cousin?' I faked being hurt.
'You better shut up before I kick-' she was cut off my Kyle looking between us.
"You guys alright there? Your guys expressions are pretty funny to watch when there's no talking," he laughs, and Jacob trying not to but failed.
"You guys are all dicks," Geena mumbled.
"You love us. Admit it," Jacob smirks at her. She blushed causing my to bust out laughing. She gave me a death glare, but I could see she was doing everything she had not to smile or laugh.
"You're a dick," she mutters under her breath.
"I know you are, but what am I," I said childishly back.
"What are we, 9?" she asked.
"Well, pretty much, yeah," I answered.
"We are, and we know it," Jacob commented, backing me up.
After that everyone said their 'yeah' and busted out laughing. Then the rest of the school day went by slowly and boringly. Nothing happened at school... Like usual. The one day I don't show up there is a new girl that might be my mate. Why does this happen to me?
After school ended, I drove home and went right in and found my mom. If anyone is going to know about my mate next, it's going to be my mom.
I found her sitting at the kitchen island reading a magazine. She looked up and smiled at me as I walked in.
"Hey, Mom," I smiled at her and went opposite from her leaning on the island.
"What's up, Logan?" She asks and puts her magazine down to look up at me. I got her eyes, the golden hazel color.
"Oh, not much, other then the fact I found my mate today," I replied and her eyes went wide and a smile broke out across her face.
"When?!" she squealed and jumped off the stool she was sitting on and ran over to me.
"This morning when I went out for a run," I said.
"So... you don't know who she is, and she doesn't even know what you look like?" Mom looked at me funny.
I need to stop thinking negative. Only positive.
Max's POV-
I drag myself out of the warmth of my bed and head towards the bathroom. I didn't want to go to school today. I had this feeling that something was going to happen. Not only that, I would have to make up for missed work, too.
I realized I was running late so I quickly tugged on a shirt and pants. I ran out of of the door while pulling on my jacket and headed towards my bike. I put my helmet on and started to drive away.
Every bump I hit on the road jerked my body making my side hurt more than it already did, but for some reason I had a tendency to heal fast so it shouldn't last.
For some reason, after the encounter with the wolf I have been feeling different. Not it a bad way either... I hate it.
When I reached school and started to walk in the people still haven't gotten over my presence and are still talking about and staring at me. Of course, all the talk had to be about me nowadays and not nay of the other drama happening within the school walls.
I went to my locker and grabbed what I needed and headed to class. I didn't see Geena or anyone when I got here which surprised me. When I got to class I was the first one there, meaning I wasn't running as late as I thought. I went to the back of the room and waited fro everyone to start showing up.
It wasn't even two minutes later when everyone started to sluggishly walk into class. That included Geena and another guy I haven't seen before. He seemed to freeze up and stop as he looked at me. I froze up, too, but that was because is eyes were the same golden-hazel as the wolf's. he had to be the sexiest guy I have ever seen, too. His height topped mine by at least four inches, maybe more, and is tanned muscles were drool worthy.
