Adopted novel Chapter 12

"Oh Okay" I reply awkwardly, "The house is ten minutes closer from here" a voice announces through the speaker. I wonder how the house will be, will I make friends in this new world I find myself in, what does the future as a Marshall hold for me, how will I survive in this world and will I be able to make the Marshalls happy and proud? I ask myself.

The limo stops and the door is opened by the chauffeur, we step out of the car and I look at my surroundings, sighting an expensive Victorian-style villa standing in all its glory with the exterior doing more just to the pocket of its owners.

I notice the presence of the men in black, they walk around the compound in perimeters, I was pulled out of my thought my mom, "Let's get you inside honey" She says walking me towards the villa. We climb the stairs and the door is opened by a door coach, we walk into the house and the exterior does no justice to the interior, the interior looks elegant and expensive.

"Welcome to the Marshall residence" the butler greets walking towards us, we take our seat and the butler was joined by four older women, a young man and nine young women, two of the older woman are dressed in different attire while the others are dressed in a maid attire but the man is dressed in white attire with a cap on his head.

"How was your journey", one of the women in different attire asks taking her seat beside mom.

"It was eventful", She replies smiling at her.

"Honey, I want you to meet the workers of the villa", Dad says to me.

"Lawrence is the butler, Nanny Estephania was my nanny growing up gesturing to the woman beside her, Juliet is our housekeeper she takes care of the house with Rose, Bella and Hannah gesturing to them, Angelo is our chef, he makes any dish you desire and he's very good in the kitchen with Zara and Juliet to help him out, Rita is our pastry chef, she makes the best pastry in the continent with Daph and Mary to help her, Isabella our gardener, she loves planting and tending to the flowers in the villa, she has Beatrice and Caroline to help her also and lastly, Anita she's Nanny Estephania's granddaughter and also your age," Mom says gesturing to all of them with a smile on her face.

"Everyone, I want you to meet our daughter Diamond Aurora Hazel Marshall" Mom continues squeezing me into her side.

"Diamond Aurora" I say curiously.

"Told you she won't like the name, we should have asked first" Dad says to Mom.

"No, I love the names. Just wondering why those names?" I respond.

"We decide to name your Diamond because you are a rare and priceless gem, while Nanny Estephania named you Aurora because you are like a new dawn for us" Mom replies.

"I love it, thank you" I say to them.

"Let's check out your room, shall we?" Mom asks.

"Sure, let's go" I reply standing from the sofa with Dad and Nanny.

"Welcome to the family, Diamond" Lawrence says to me.

"Yes, I love them" I answer smiling.

"Thanks" I tell them pulling them in a hug.

"What belongs to us also belongs to you" Dad says.

"Let's get some food inside you, shall we?" Nanny says.

We walk into the dining room and I am shocked at what am seeing, the dining room shelves hold scores of wines, it looks very cozy and expensive at the same time. I spend my day getting to know the workers of the villa and my parents, I find out I and Anita have few things in common and we will be good friends, guess she will be the only friend I can turn to here.

I spent the rest of my weekend with my new family and for the first time in forever, I felt wanted and appreciated. All staffs in the villa turn out to be my family, Nanny becomes my Nanny while Mia lives in the villa with me, I still don't know what I need her for and what her job descriptions entail. Mom and Dad tell me I can take a room and turn it into anything I want it to be, it can be a new wardrobe, my office, a library or an art room, I was stricken when I heard it and delighted at the same time. I don't know what the room will be turned into yet and my room turns out to be the second master bedroom and opposite my parent's room.

I was told that I will be attending one of the most expensive and famous high schools in the world, "Golden Elite High", it's the school for the wealthy and famous kids in the world. Celebrities, politicians, and important business accolades send their kids there, the tuition fee is above $100,000 and it's doesn't include vacations and summer outings.

I stayed up late last night to learn more about the school, I learned the school has one of the most expensive building and compound, it holds lots of buildings and few historical buildings, its located in the heart of New York, it only admits limited numbers of kids, it admits nothing above eighty kids per year, the school has four big libraries, the compound holds seven different buildings, each building holds different classes the freshman students have their building, the sophomore students have theirs, the junior students have theirs and lastly the senior students also have theirs with each building having their lunchroom, a car park that can hold only one hundred cars and sports arena.
