Adopted novel Chapter 3

I and my friends bought an alarm clock which serves as an advantage for us, what we do is that our school starts at 9 am but we wake up by 4 am to take our bath and we go back to sleep or we just read our books till it's time for breakfast, I and Nia enters the bathroom together to bath while Sky uses the male bathroom after that we get to our room to dress up, I am wearing a black skinny jeans pairs it with one of Sky's grey sweatshirt Nia is putting on a blue skinny jean, she pairs it with a maroon-colored polo and Sky wears a washed blue jean with a black sweatshirt. We take our seat on our bed while we keep reading our book but we talk to each other when we have questions concerning what we are reading and we answer them amongst ourselves.

By 7:30 am we move to the dining hall for breakfast, it's one of the traditions put in place by the owners we are expected to have all meals together as a family in the dining hall and it's the only time I and my friends can be around the rest of us and we won't be bullied because the kitchen staffs are always watching and they give out punishments to any one they find disturbing another. For breakfast we are having pancakes with omelets and fruit juice, we are allowed to take a pick from the different varieties of pure fruit juice the staffs provide. Our breakfast is being interrupted by an announcement made by Mr. Bright, he and his wife are the ones in charge of the orphanage, the orphanage is a family business it belongs to Mr. Bright grandparents then his parents and now he owns it with his own family also. "Good morning children, trust you had a wonderful night rest? I am interrupting breakfast to inform you about the cancelation of school today, you all are expected to stay in the house for the arrival of some important guest and I expect you all to be on your best behavior, thank you and carry on with your breakfast." Mr. Bright's voice sounds all over the dining hall through the speakers that is hung around the hall like every other halls in the house.

After breakfast, everyone walks back to their respective rooms but everyone is wondering who these important guests are that they have to cancel school without informing us beforehand, all information is passed a day before or weeks before the day but today is a first and we have no choice we can only murmur and obey the commands passed down. My friends and I walk to our room in silence also lost in our own virtual worlds, I take my seat on the bed while I watch Oceania walk around the room deep in thought, knowing her for over twelve years of my life I know the detectives in her is coming to play she doesn't like things happening without her knowledge, she feels helpless and it's something she doesn't love very much.

"I don't think it's the social worker coming," Oceania said while she keeps walking round the room in confusion and determination and I don't think I will love where her curiosity will lead her this time, she allows her curiosity gets the best of her and she tends to find answers in the wrong places which leads to new bruises inflicted on her, "I was about saying the same thing Nia, the preparation is just so different and unique," Sky replies look up from the book he once buries his face in. They both have this thing where Ocean gets curious and he tends to get her more curious and it doesn't end well for both party especially Ocean, while she gets bullied Sky gets a week insults from her and I have to step out of my shell to stop their bickering.

"Maybe it's an adoption," I voiced out joining the conversation while looking toward Nia with hopes of crushing the developing curiosity with hope that Sky stops feeding her, she suddenly put a stop to her pacing round the room looking at me, "If it's an adoption, then why to ask us to stay also, I mean who want to adopt a 16years old," Sky asked me instead with strange look on his face making me want to wipe the look gracing his face with my palm. "Who know maybe they just want us stay and pretend to be happy, you know the drill," Oceania replies him instead with a satisfactory look on her face while I sigh in relief.

"Have you losers heard?" May beams while she walks into our room with a huge grin on her face, "Have you ever heard of knocking, May?" Sky replies her while he sits up and drops his book. Sky is always trying to put up a strong front before everyone but he is always beaten to stupor instead and most times I wonder why he keeps doing that when all its going to cause pains and scars later on, his blunt tongue is one of the reasons he also gets into trouble aside from his sexuality and he knows that but that won't stop the animal within according to him.

"So, I came here to officially tell you goodbye, you won't be seeing me again after today I will be busy getting ready to leave this place in two weeks and getting to know my new family," She continues in a calm voice but a smirk is present on her face. "Don't miss me much and I will always hate you guys, I will be gone with a rich family but who knows I might take pity on you and plead with my new parents to employ you as my personal maids," She looks at us with a wicked smile on her face, "I have to get ready so I can attract the best family, Goodbye," She waves at us and walked out of the room.

We all released a big sigh of relief and happiness, "I was starting to think she was never going to leave us without a dent on our body or emotions," Sky said getting up from his bed only to make himself comfortable on ours. "This's the longest she has stay in our room even when she wants to vent her anger towards us," I add moving my books to make space for Nia who is standing at the edge of the bed in deep thought. "If what she just said is true, I can only pray they adopt her minions along with her just so we can have our own peace for once," Oceania input sitting on the cleared space. "They will be separated the horror," Sky screamed placing his palm on his forehead dramatically.
