Adopted novel Chapter 33

Ava's event was a success also, we had fun in her new gallery also bought few arts for the apartment but all my painting and portrait were not displayed, I asked her about them and she told me it was bought by a great bidder which helped her charity organization, it went to a better cause.

School was a little different, Rafael and Mila are on good terms after Rafael apologized and literally begged her to come back home with promises not to put Kim before her anymore. No one knows about my ordeal in California with you know who and we want to keep it that way.

I am yet to see Lorenzo after what he said to me before our trip but his friends are always coming to our block to eat or rest in our locker room, Ava and Mia are always wearing a smile on their faces anytime they are around so am happy with them also. I learnt Michael is actually Lorenzo's cousin, he's a sweetheart always offering to help me with stuffs while Gabriel is the clown always putting a smile on our faces after a hard class and Rafael is the protective elder brother, he's always after our wellbeing.

Today is preparation for departmental week and I was told we have a lot of events which all students are expected to participate by supporting each department more like school spirit. We have Monday for the Debate departmental final, Tuesday for the Theater and Musical departmental final against Wells Academy (Hollywood wannabes), Wednesday for the Art departmental final against Royals school of Arts, Thursday for the Basketball final against Beckford Elite Academy, Friday for the Soccer final against Kings & Queens Academy, while the weekend is for excursion to celebrate our victory or loss, our destination is Cayman Island.

I found out all the schools we are going against are also school for the rich and elite apart from Kings & Queen Academy whose name spells it all the school for all royals only, according to Mils other competitors wish they are students of GEH and that's what makes them adore our school.

I and Mils don't fall under any department so we are to support our friends during their departmental day. I became close to Justin and his friends also, I like having Justin as a cousin because he's always making me laugh with his silliness and crazy behavior.

Presently am on my bed prepared for the night, I called Cole and Emma on Skype we chatted for a longtime told them about Mia, Kim and Cindy, they are both angry at them and promised to visit during their holiday. I also spoke with Dad on phone and call it a night after my conversation with dad.

"Wake up Mija," I feel someone tap me on my back in a loving manner, I turned to face Nanny with my eyes opened and a sleepy smile on my lips "Good morning nanny," I sit up on my bed to look at the clock on my side table "it's 8am already Nino, you spent hours talking to your friends and later your father, Rico has been waiting for an hour and you have a parcel delivered for you this morning in the sitting room." She stands walk to open the door.

"Don't tell me you are eating all that alone," Nanny asked with a look saying she will not accept it if I said yes "No, it's for I and the girls." I responded instead with a confusing smile "I am ready Rico," I said walking out of the house with Rico behind me also with chocolate bars in hand for his kids.

Getting to school, I drop from car and wave at Rico while I join my friends whom I saw standing in front of our building, "Good morning". I greeted Ava and Mils with a hug, "Morning, you over slept or why are you late this morning?" Mils asked as we walk to our locker room.

Opening the door, we make our way to our room number "More like under slept because I slept late and I received a goodies basket filled with my favorite goodies this morning with a blank card on it" I told her with confusion on my face.

"Secret admirer that's crazy Diamond, am jealous of you right now." Mils jumps on the bed while she digs into my bag which have dropped on the bed, she pulls out a chocolate and munch on it "I am so following you home to pick some goodies for myself." She said with her mouth full.
