Cole pulls me into himself in a hug, "let it all out doll" he whispered into my ear while he pats me "Do you also want to know your biological parents?" He asked after a while. Do I want to know them? They are the reason why I am like this. "I prefer not knowing them" I responded hiccupping. "Are you sure Hazel? It might do you more good than damage, you will get closure" he spoke. "My answer still stands, I don't want to go through the pain of rejection all over against I prefer not knowing at all," I uttered.
"Can you please pass me the syrup?" Cole whispered with his face so gloomy. We've been in Texas for three days now and we still haven't gotten an answer to our puzzle, the Bright's has been very helpful but their knowledge is only little. Cole was found with expensive baby silk with some Arabic words stitched to it in a fancy way, making his birth parent someone from an Arabic country, a gold necklace with a half-moon was also found beside the bin he was picked up from. Ever since our discovery he hasn't been himself, he cries himself to sleep and always looks sad, I don't know how to help him aside from being there for him all time this was more of Emma's department.
"We can get someone to translate the inscription on the silk if you want," I suggested for the hundredth time since we brought the items home, Mrs. Bright was kind enough to give us the items to help our search. "Do I want to know what the inscriptions say. because even if I do know it's not going to help me" He stated erratically? "What do you mean?" I questioned, "They are Arabic-speaking people, don't you get it?" He shouted slamming his hand on the kitchen counter, I jumped out of my seat out of fear tears comes gathering in my eyes waiting to be let loose but I blinked them back because I don't want him to feel worse than he is now.
"Cole," I started slowly walking up to where he is seated, placed my hand on his shoulder "What does that have to do with finding them?" I inquired. "Everything Ro, Everything." He conceded, "Everything like?" I queried once again, "My sexuality isn't accepted in their world, finding them isn't only going to give me the answers I seek but also another forsaking." He disclosed. He has been battling with his sexuality ever since he found out about it, he's always insecure about who he is because he was scared of been rejected all over again.
"You are who you are Cole and anybody will be foolish to abandon you after getting to know you." I explained to him honestly, "You are only saying that because you are my best friend and you think that's what I want to hear," He disagreed with a sigh, he stood up packed up the dishes dumping them into the dishwasher. "I didn't say that because you are my best friend Cole, I said that because you are an amazing person" I stated clearly. "Thank you, Ro, we should go dress up for the Counselling day," He said with a smile on his face. "I don't feel like stepping out today to should represent both of us and I will go on Friday" I retorted with a little smile on my face. "Are you alright?" He inquired looking at me, "I am fine just stressed that's all" I lied.
I wasn't fine but I didn't want to add more to his already filled plate, the nightmares mixed with memories of my time in the orphanage keep haunting me and I have fresh cuts on my hands and laps because of them. I decided to stay away for today and tomorrow just maybe I can get a good sleep because they keep me awake all night looking around my room for any potential threat. I can't tell him this because for once he deserves a life of his own and not adding my problems with his. "If you say so, let me go dress up" He sassed walking towards his room while I go to mine.
Getting to his office entrance, I was about to knock on his door when I heard an unknown voice say "Hazel is what she was called here." I stopped my action and decided to listen to their conversation given we had only one Hazel in the orphanage and she is now Diamond. "What were Olivia's actions when she saw her picture?" the unknown voice inquired, "She had tears in her eyes and she didn't go through her files before making her decision sir" I heard Mr. Bright answered back.
"So, she is the one then, Mr. Bright you just brought a smile onto the face of a troubled and lonely king," the unknown voice said "It's an honor to help Your highness" Mr. Bright responded.
"She is currently present in Texas with her friend who is searching for his parents but all we have is silk with Arabic inscribed on it" Mr. Bright continued, "You mean my niece is here?" The unknown man questioned, "And what does this Arabic inscription reads?" He inquired. "She is Your highness, for a princess and heir to the vast fortune she is humble and kindhearted. It reads
